We were walking the Camino de Santiago and took the Samos route. Luckily we learned of Casa de Diaz and spent one night. Our time was delightful. Wish we could have stayed longer. The beds were so comfortable that we would have liked to have the same mattresses in our own home. We were in a deluxe room and felt... More

We chose this casa rurale becuase it was one of the Posadas del Camino, which we had used along the camino and found very lovely. This establishment was the same. We didn't realise it was 4km out of Samos, but a local cafe owner phoned them for us and they came to pick us up. The owners were very pleasant.... More

We were quite delighted to come across this utterly delightful place to stay, very close to the Camino and yet very private. Charming hosts who spoke very little English but could not have been more helpful. An absolute treat to stay in such a beautiful old house which had clearly been in the family for generations and was much loved,... More

This was a hotel selected for us on a self guided cycling tour along the Camino. The hotel is a renovated 17th Century Farm House and has a lot of rustic charm. The bedrooms are well appointed and have a private bathroom. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hosts eager to please. We had a little trouble communicating... More

We are doing a 6 day bike ride on the Camino Trail. This hotel was booked as a part of our tour. Our ride today was a short one, so we had a whole afternoon to enjoy this delightful Casa. The gardens surrounding the house are absolutely gorgeous, our bedroom is very comfortable, and the house is furnished in a... More

This is a beautiful historic farmhouse-turned-hotel 300 m (less than 1/4 mile) off the Camino de Santiago, in a serene and peaceful setting. It is in the Vilacha area of Samos, 5K (about 3 miles) from the Benedictine Monastery so it is NOT in the main part of town. So if you plan on staying here while walking the Camino,... More

I stay there for 1 night. The house, not being from a very high class (not a palace) is a nice house and have some charm. The decoration specially the wash room and bedroom could be of a better taste. The common areas is nice a petty that on the middle of nowhere there is niot a real bar as... More

Wow. A beautiful 17th century farmhouse, charming hosts, lovely comfortable rooms, good food, fabulous views, a pool. This was the best place we stayed in our 3 week holiday through Spain, and it was cheap. We actually felt bad paying so little given that our experience was so fantastic. Juan and Eduardo are wonderful hosts and we are sorry we... More

We stayed here one night whilst walking the Camino de Santiago. It is a very charming stone country house. Food was good and service was cordial. There's a nice lounge area, and in a separate building, a fireplace with some chairs. Our room was fairly well appointed and comfortable. There was heating, hair dryer and the usual toiletries. The owner... More

We stayed here for three nights, and it was fabulous. This is an old stone farmhouse, so don't expect posh. But what you can expect is a unique atmosphere, gorgeous countryside, simple and delicious dinners cooked by family members, and very hospitable family hosts. We wanted to walk the Camino for a day, and this was the perfect location. A... More
