Stopped in to Fort Canon for a coffee while taking a day trip around hook head. Met the owners Richard and his wife Helene. They were both so pleasant and chatted to us for our entire visit. Such a warm, Irish welcome which is so lacking in so many places. Was a pity we were just on a day trip.... More

We were visiting relatives in the area of Duncannon and decided to go for dinner to the Fort Conan Hotel. The Owners Richard and Helene gave us one of the warmest welcomes we got from a hotel. They have a cozy dining area and bar if you fancy a tipple with your dinner. The food was hot ,fresh and gorgeous... More

I think the latter was the case. Good rooms with nice ensuite bathrooms, everything was clean and tidy. Great Irish breakfast with plenty of toast as a solid starter of the... More

It was like staying with friends. The rooms are lovely, the atmosphere is welcoming and as soon as you enter the house you... More

We stayed in the hotel together with other teachers from 6 European countries in November 2014 and May 2010. Richard and Helen made our stay really special because of their kindness, hospitality and cheerfulness. Comfortable rooms, delicious food. We hope to come back one day. Stay here for the night for a family gathering. The hosts were so welcoming and down to earth. The rooms are basic but fulfilled our needs for the night. They even provided fizzy drinks early in the morning.Their breakfast was brilliant and no request was left undo. But a good hotel in such a beautiful spot.
