Have you ever been "hugged farewell" by the receptionist of a five-star-hotel? This was either because Helene and Richard were glad I left or because of sympathy and hospitality. I think the latter was the case. Good rooms with nice ensuite bathrooms, everything was clean and tidy. Great Irish breakfast with plenty of toast as a solid starter of the... More

Helen and Richard really helped to make our stay even more enjoyable than it could have been. They cared about us and helped us make more of our trip. It was above a regular stay in a hotel. It was like staying with friends. The rooms are lovely, the atmosphere is welcoming and as soon as you enter the house you... More

We stayed in the hotel together with other teachers from 6 European countries in November 2014 and May 2010. Richard and Helen made our stay really special because of their kindness, hospitality and cheerfulness. Comfortable rooms, delicious food. We hope to come back one day. Stay here for the night for a family gathering. The hosts were so welcoming and down to earth. The rooms are basic but fulfilled our needs for the night. They even provided fizzy drinks early in the morning.Their breakfast was brilliant and no request was left undo. But a good hotel in such a beautiful spot.

We had an enjoyable stay here. The room was good. The family that run it are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The wifi worked fine. It is only a minute or so's walk from the beach and the centre of Duncannon. Note that the beach is not a blue flag beach and its worth checking the water... More
