No wifi no sky channels!! It's heaven. It is a folly and it's basic. It's got a bar a great breakfast and evening meals are available. If you want to spend time with your children and have an adventure it's an amazing place to stay. We did the national trust plague walk from the visitors centre. It was brilliant and... More

Stayed in a room for 2 with my sister, this was in the adjacent coach house. The room was only as wide as the bunk bed was long but had a sink and view from the top bunk person - not great when we both wanted to stand up but sufficient for our needs. However there were great communal areas,... More

Had a lovely stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good-try the supper club. Self catering kitchen is in the annex but will fitted out. Clean and tidy. You are perfectly placed for the village and the local walks.

Stayed here in the school holidays with my wife and step daughter. We booked a family room which was bright and clean with easy access to the showers and toilets. We booked breakfast which was lovely and had one evening meal, taking advantage of the supper club offer, where everyone sits round a big table. The atmosphere was excellent and... More

Peaceful place with comfortable if a little careworn lounge, library and dining room. Needed a four bed room for two of us, (bunk beds). Lovely village with National trust property to look around, Eyam hall. Friendly and efficient staff. Self catering was fun, last night we had a meal at the hostel which was nice.

We stayed as part of a larger group although we arrived a night earlier than the rest of the party. On our first lonely night we were treated exceptionally well and had our cooked breakfast served to us at our table as we were the only people eating. The sleeping accommodation is what you would expect from a youth hostel... More

Spent the weekend at Eyam YHA with a group of 35 which booked out the hostel bedrooms and conference facilities. There are wonderful views from this unique location and it is a relatively central meeting point. We were made to feel extremely welcome, with wholesome dinner and full English breakfast. As expected the accommodation was simple but everything was clean... More

I love Eyam Youth Hostel. We stayed in the coach house rather than the main building this time which was fine. It was very cold outside but the YHA was warm and welcoming. The view out across the valley from here is wonderful. The self catering facilities are good and the breakfast's generous and filling. The staff are always helpful and... More

Hi Claire, Thankyou for your review of our youth hostel. It is lovely to get positive feedback and negative feedback prompts us to examine our services and improve. We hope you will visit us again with your family, friends or as part of a group. Best wishes, Terri, Rob and Kaz More

60 of us (long time University friends and their families) took over Eyam Youth Hostel for 3 days for the New Year. It was the first time I had visited a youth hostel in over 20 years and I was very pleasantly surprised. We were made very welcome and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had 3 days... Although I couldn't warrant giving YHA Eyam a 4 star rating (ave), in reality, as it is exactly what it says it is (it is a hostel and not a hotel) - so it was probably a 3.5 stars. This is very basic but clean accommodation in the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire. The perfect view of Derbyshire - a great... More
