Thought Bretton cottage was very nice - rooms were lovely and the breakfast was tasty. Nice country location just across the road from a pub in a quiet very small little town. Really enjoyed my stay, was nice to get away from it all to the quiet of the countryside.

Fantastic views, very friendly and helpful host, amazing food... Couldn't have asked for more during our getaway in the peaks! I would definitely recommend this accomodation for anyone looking for a cozy escape.

We stayed at Bretton Cottage in November and were very, very impressed. - The attention to detail in the room was very impressive. It really did seem like Karen and Andrew had thought of everything with fantastic perks such as free wifi. Our room was clean and spacious with classy choices in furniture and decoration. - The bed was very... More

Had a lovely weekend break in this B&B. Perfect location, lots of nice walks nearby and amazing views from right outside the front gate. Room was very spacious and decorated to a high standard. We had a small kitchenette, with sink, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Friendly relaxed host, and great high quality breakfast. Will definitely return. Only... More

Beautiful location with fantastic views. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit and offerings of further toast. Genial host. Room spacious but felt furnishings, cushion floor, shower curtain in bathroom etc made it feel dated. Biggest issue for me was use of blankets rather than duvet on the bed - I like to know all bedding is washed for each new... More

Once again our friendly hosts Andrew and Karen made us really welcome. Andrews sense of humour at breakfast is always welcome, he is such a friendly and cheerful person. We stayed in room 2 which is really lovely and once again we had a lovely relaxing break. Thank you, and we shall be back again next year :-)

Great room (number 1) with great view. Bed so so so comfortable. Breakfasts delicious. Great pub with good old within staggering distance. Lovely walk straight from the cottage and Andrew & his wife are delightful!

A lovely relaxing stay, with welcoming hosts, who made delicious breakfasts. We stayed in Room 1 and adored the unspoilt views. TV could be bigger for the size room (especially for us with glasses!) but otherwise can't really complain and having a break from TV is always a good thing anyway! The pub next door does pretty decent food (but... More

We stayed in Room 1 for the weekend and had an amazing stay! -Extremely clean (I am very picky about this but not a cobweb in sight, even with the high beams) -Nice touches like bottled water in fridge each day and bathrobes. -Free access to wifi (although signal not that strong in this particular room) -THE MOST DELICIOUS BREAKFAST... This was a last minute trip and there was not a great deal of accommodation available at such short notice. How lucky we were to find Bretton Cottage. Externally, the place is a traditional stone cottage, internally the accommodation is contemporary yet homely. The decor is fresh yet so cosy. This B+B is well designed, absolutely spotless and run by... More
