I've never stayed at a camp site where space is at such a premium. The pitches are tight and you can end up parking quite away from your tent. Didn't see one member of staff all weekend and the showers were dirty. Little things like the soap in the men's lavatory was empty throughout our stay showed the staff we're... More

we just got back from a 5 day stay at waveney river centre,we stayed on the coot site which was plenty big enough for our tent and car and right on the waters edge.the pitches are quite close together which to start with I was a bit worried about but as they have a no noise policy after 9pm which... stayed in the 'Port' room for 1 night. absolutely fell in love with the room! My partner had booked this a treat for me and the boy did well! The bathroom was beautiful and the shower amazing. Really great spacious bed which we lost each other in as it was so big! Went out in the evening to a alternative... More

This was our third holiday at the WRC and we stayed in the same lodge (Lound) as we did two years ago. Clean and tidy when we arrived, though we found the pillows to be a bit small, thin and poor quality ! The bird feeder outside the lodge was AWOL when we got there, but was quickly replaced when... We stayed at Beech Farm Barn which is about a 10 minute walk from the centre but you can use all the facilities. The barn was absolutely lovely and we made good use of the hot tub. It was great value for money when compared with lodges with hot tubs. It is very pretty & secluded so although we were... More

We have just returned from a weeks stay. The site is not what we expected having looked at the website. Toilets and shower blocks are in need of general maintenance and a good clean. The pitches are very cramped there are just too many tents in such a small area. The play area is fabulous, the pub on site is lovely... More

I was sorry to read this review. It seems that we must try harder to help customers to choose the right pitch for their needs, but this can be difficult because so many people seem to be unaware of the size of their tent. What we can promise is that our pitches are exactly the size that we describe. Most... More

High on our list of priorities when camping (in a tent) is the need for a flat pitch. There are only 3 suitable Flat Tent Pitches which are at the front of the marina - and are therefore not very private. All in all, this site has great toilet and shower facilities but has nowhere near enough Washing up places.... More

I was sorry to read this review, especially as it is fundamentally inaccurate and misleading. We are a small Park and our staff try very hard to keep everyone happy. Whilst it does appear that we sometimes need to try harder to communicate the size of our tent pitches, this can be difficult because so many people have no idea... More

A friend and I had travelled from London to the coast for some camping. In our resorts brochure was an advert for the Waveney centre, where you could rent boats, canoes, kayaks, etc. So we made the trip from our camp site to the river centre and rented some canoes for the afternoon. It was bliss. The staff were very... More

Excellent quiet and tranquil place to stay; great location away from the noise and lights of Great Yarmouth but close enough to drive to. Stayed in the Alderney lodge which was very spacious and clean and had all the tools and utensils you could possibly need. Perhaps snip one or two of the tree branches to enhance what would be... We have just spent a week at the campsite with family of 3 boys. Great campsite, with a good playground for the children. Good swimming pool and café on site. There is also a nice pub onsite that serves good food, bonus if you can not be bothered with the camp stove. We rented a boat for the day (pilot)... More
