Stay at Waveney river centre last week. Arrived on Sunday to find reception closed of which we wasn't told. Finally found a number to call and was shown to our pitch. Avoid the heron pitches and go for the kingfisher. Went to use the onsite pool and was told by 1 member of staff it would be a £5 deposit.... More

Thanks for visiting and writing a review Mark, and I'm glad to know that you'll be visiting us again in the summer. Please can I ask you to check both your booking confirmation email and your pre-arrival email, both of which should show the Reception opening hours and give the out of hours phone number. I can see this information... More

Had a lovely meal here with my family, good choice of meals. Lovely seating area outside and comfortable inside. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back and recommend to other friends.

This is a lovely place if you want peace and quiet. we stayed in Thurlton Lodge which was lucky not to have another lodge in front of it on the other side of the road so the view was great. Some others were not so fortunate. The Lodge was very big and nIcely furnished. The River was good to walk... More

Found this place online via Facebook. So glad we did. I can not recommend this enough to people. The food was amazing, great value for money and filling in fact I ate way to much. Couldn't even manage a desert which isn't like me! (Having seen the deserts on Facebook I'm gutted) The location is lovely, we sat on the... More

Stayed 4 nights. Lodge had double room with en suite and walk in wardrobe, twin room, bathroom, open plan living with a well equipped kitchen, dining and sitting area. Patio doors onto veranda with hot tub, table and chairs. Views across marsh. Couple of minutes walk to Waveney Inn, on site shop / reception, information and laundry, outside playground, café... We have just returned from a two night stay at WRC. We stayed on a Kingfisher pitch, which was a lovely size and gave us wonderful views over the marina. The children loved the play area, indoor pool and "Eddie's Secret Garden". We will definitely return, however we do have one criticism.... We liked the family shower rooms - being... More

My wife and I stayed at the Waveney Inn for one night in the Starboard room Sunday 31 Aug 2014. The room was ok and once you got used to the odd experience of having people passing outside your huge window and looking in but only seeing a picture on the outside although you can see them, it was quite... I stayed there recently with my wife and children, and was disappointed with the experience as a whole. I was disappointed to see that some of the items available for sale in the shop were past their sell-by dates, and I felt that the eating venue was taking advantage of its lack of competition. I took this holiday to help... More

We were sorry to read this review. Firstly I'll apologise if there was any out-of-date stock in the shop, this is completely unintentional and thank you for bringing it to our attention. I'm not sure what is meant by 'taking advantage of its lack of competition', we've spent a small fortune on refurbishing the pub this year to ensure that... More

I've never stayed at a camp site where space is at such a premium. The pitches are tight and you can end up parking quite away from your tent. Didn't see one member of staff all weekend and the showers were dirty. Little things like the soap in the men's lavatory was empty throughout our stay showed the staff we're... More
