Went there with some friends and our little dog. The food was amazing. We sat outside in the sun, was very comfortable and relaxing! Went inside to order food and drink, the decor was very clean and very modern. We have decided to go back to eat inside sometime soon!! Would definitely recommend it!!

We had booked a table round the corner at the Maltsters' Arms, but they denied that we had booked and had said they were not serving lunch on 10 August. We walked round to the Blue Boar, who kindly said we could sit at the bar but have the restaurant menu. We had the most delicious sirloin beef lunches, and... More

I'm going to skip straight to the quality of the food in this review and the value for money. This restaurant has shown no consideration for its customers with regards to the saying "you get what you pay for" To be honest your better off staying at home with an M&S meal. I had the ribs! Now the ribs had... More

Nice venue and very friendly staff but they are missing a trick here. My wife had prawn cocktail to start; tiny frozen prawns (like potted prawn size) with a dob of thousand island on top - totally flavourless. I had tempura prawns which were nicely presented but again I suspect they were frozen as they were flavourless. Main course; my... More

After the mixed reviews I was a bit aprehensive meeting friends for here for dinner and drinks especially with a plethora of dietary requirements that I have. Well I didn't need to worry... The place is beautifully presented inside and out and the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentative. The manager was exceptionally pleasant and went out of his way... More

We hired out the whole place (not the hotel rooms though)for out Engagement Party and i have to say it could not of gone any better. The management and the staff bent over backwards to make sure our night was a real success, very professional, smart and always on hand to make sure everyone was well looked after. The food we... Got invited here for a family celebration. Drove 60 miles each way and was really looking forward to it. Had the room with the big table, like an indoor conservatory to ourselves which was very nice but was rather hot. Staff were Ok, nothing special to mention about and our drinks were delivered in a timely manner. Ordered the Sticky... More

Hi - went her for my partner's 50th birthday lunch. Booked table 50 which is classed as a private dining area with a minimum spend. had a lovely time but I would say that the staff constantly come in and out of the area to a storage cupboard to cart boxes of drinks etc out which is very annoying and... We had just driven 270 miles from North Devon to visit my sick Uncle who lives in Eppin Forest. By the time we got there we were so exhausted. Can't say we were welcomed with open arms it felt like we had intruded. The greeting by a man in a suit was professional in every way but not friendly. We... More

Visited for lunch with friends. The welcome was friendly. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. Our order arrived in good time. My duo of lamb was great, a pot of lamb stew and slices of tasty lamb. The belly of pork was tasty, sausage trio was much enjoyed. Desserts were very tasty, and we had a great time discussing...
