Had aged Sirlion of beef. Yorkshire as big as your head, generous portion of beef, roast carrots, duck roast potatoes. Sides included were mixed greens (cabbage, baby weeks, broccoli & peas) - cauliflower cheese all cooked to perfection with a jug of homemade gravy. Just about as good as it gets and cheaper than pubs I've reviewed in Essex. Staff were... More

The standards of the Duck Inn, Stanhoe, were very high. Travelled to meet up with family members who were staying at other accomodation. The Staff were all very helpful, polite and friendly. The accomodation superb and the food excellent. Couldn't have chosen better. Highly recommended. Will certainly stay again on our visits to Norfolk.

We have eaten here several times - and reviewed it! - and stayed once. Very comfortable and well appointed bedroom, with full ensuite. Good choice for an excellent breakfast, although it's a bit noisy because the staff are preparing the main restaurant for lunch service. No problem with noise in the bedroom, though, it's in a very peaceful location. Nevertheless,... More

Having read some reviews on trip advisor we decided to book a table at the Duck Inn to celebrate my husbands birthday. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. My husband and mother in law thoroughly enjoyed their selection of fish and my vegetarian "fairytale pumpkin risotto" was so tasty. The desserts were scrummy and the cheese plate was... More

We travelled a considerable way to have lunch at the Duck. It was my treat for 2 friends at the end of our Norfolk holiday. Our main course of gammon, egg & chips was very tasty, although the gammon, which the chef stated had been cooked that morning, was already almost cold. We then all chose the 'plum & almond... More

Having recommended the Duck Inn to my Roaming Luncheon Club, it was most rewarding to find such high quality service and food at this venue. The management and staff could not have done more to make the visit such a pleasure that we will undoubtedly return

We had an overnight stay whilst going to a picnic concert at nearby Holkham Hall. The evening (typical bank holiday) was cold but the Duck Inn's welcome was warm. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room (End Room) was superb with a fantastic bathroom. Stylishly decorated with a fridge and fresh milk for tea, along with... More

Even though we arrived fairly early for an evening meal the staff were attentive and showed us to our table immediately. Food was served fast and was freshly prepared - only small grouch that there was no bread basket - something I like to have whilst waiting for starter to arrive Even though it was a busy pub - every... I have just returned from a nights stay at this wonderful hotel, everything from the staff, the ambiance, the food, & the beautifully decorate rooms. The food in the restaurant was delicious as was the breakfast, cooked to order. Perfect!!
