When you arrive you may find, as I did, the rooms a little plain. But after unpacking in the spacious space, had a great shower in the superb water pressure, connected several devices to the strong fast WiFi, the place grows on you. It's quiet and peaceful at night. The breakfast is most adequate, if simple. There's no big buffet... More

Very nice, clean and spacious rooms, and you can choose to have the Danube view which is lovely. The hotel has a large dining area and a large bar. The food is acceptable let's say :) but the breakfast is ok. The staff is very nice and hospitable. The area is lovely, you can admire the austrian rural part and... More

We had lunch on the terrace here last Sunday. The paprika fish soup was absolutely excellent. The steamed char, which is a kind of trout known as Saibling in Austria, was bland and the summer salad quite good but nothing special. The service was friendly and fast. We found it unusual to read on the menu that there is a... More

Nice hotel on the right side of the Danube coming from Passau. There is a ferry from left side. Has elevator so u don't carry luggage. Large simple and clean room. The restaurant is right on the Danube , food is ok, good service.

We had dinner here at the terrasse from where there is a wonderfull look to Donau. The kitchen closes at 8 PM for big courses. The course we would like to choose at first was sold out and instead we decided for fish and that was ok. The wine was expensive and the service wasn't very kind. It is impossible... More

Even we stayed for one day only, we enjoyed everything. The hotel is exactly at Km 33.200 on the beatiful road 130, going from Linz to Passau along the Danube. Rooms are simple but cozy, very clean and have strong-nice furniture. The restaurant gives you simple but excellent traditional food and drinks, served on the quiet shore of the Danube.... More

This is a somewhat typical small Austrian Hotel with large, clean rooms, convenient access, restaurant/bar right on the Danube. We were on a bicycle trip down to Vienna and I suspect that this activity and the nearby Trappist Monastery with its much-publicised liqueur production are very important to the business. After dark it is a real quiet place.
