What can I say about this superb gite in Valentigney. We arrived at about 11pm to be greeted by our hostess who showed us to our room which was stunning. A comfortable bed, a dressing room to store our clothes and a lovely bathroom, with a magnificent shower. We slept soundly and got up the next morning to a breakfast... More

What a treat this gite is .....the house is set in lovely gardens, our room was gorgeous , breakfast was yummy with homemade brioche and jams and the hosts were just charming. As they could not do us an evening meal they kindly booked us a meal at a local restaurant which was just great. This is a perfect stop... More

On our way to Burgundy we made a stop over and enjoyed the warm welcome and charming accomodation. Everthing is decorated with love and passion. For the breakfirst alone it would be worth coming: everything is freshly prepared, home made and served with a smile. Unfortunately wheater was bad so we couldn't enjoy the garden - just another reason to come... More

We stayed 2 nights in La Maison de Juliette with friends who were there before. We had a great resting weekend, enjoying the beautiful decoration, quite atmosphere, very nice garden and great hosts. The meal (table d'hôte) was delicious in really nice company, and breakfast (including marshmallow ;-)) was a special treat :-) We highly recommend that chambre d'hôte to... More

My husband and I stayed in the newly built guest house off of the main house for one evening. It was clean, quiet and elegantly decorated. The amenities included a television, a small patio to be enjoyed in the warmer weather, as well as the option of a shared kitchen. Breakfast is served in the main house and includes a... More

There is something quite wonderful about staying in someone's home and yet having the experience of a chic and luxe hotel. In addition, the pleasure of joining this delightful family for dinner only adds to a unique experience which isn't available in a hotel or restaurant. The night we dined with the family, Christian prepared a fabulous Chicken with Vin... More

My wife and I were visiting friends in Valentigney this month (May 2012) and were delighted to find this really good place to stay. Our room and ensuite were perfect for our needs being well furnished and spotlessly clean. Advice on where to eat turned out to be excellent with a map provided to help us find our way. Not... More

My wife and I stayed four nights in La maison de Juliette last June, and it was a delightful experience. Françoise and Christian are perfect hosts, combining discretion with helpfulness - detailed advice on places to visit, lending maps with directions how to get there, recommending and booking restaurants, etc, etc - so that you feel very much at home.... We were delighted to find this quaint Inn in Valentigney, France while visiting family in the nearby town. We arrived straight from North Carolina with our 3 young children and both Francoise and Christian gave us a warm welcome. They were extremely flexible and accommodating to serve us a delicious breakfast when we woke at almost noon the following day... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
ituated close to Montbéliard, “The City of Princes” and the foothills of the Jura mountains, our lovingly restored country house awaits you.La maison de Juliette dates from the early 20th Century and was one of the residences of famous JAPY dynasty. The Maison de Juliette rises majestically in the centre of a park of century old trees. Under the eves, we have created a suite consisting of two inter-communicating rooms where exposed beams frame a pallet of pearl grey and mauve achieving the cosy atmosphere of family homes of a bygone era.In the grounds, we have also converted the outbuilding, ‘Le petit atelier ‘ into a guest house with two independant double bedrooms, each with its own entrance overlooking the garden. In each room original materials salvaged from the old workshop have been imaginatively integrated into the new design creating a beautiful, light space with poetic echoes of times past.Set in a large tranquil garden, La maison de Juliette offers peace and tranquillity within easy reach of the A36 motorway and the Eurovelo cycle route. ... more   less
