This is a wonderful old fashioned country pub that does fantastic food of a very high quality, the rooms are probably in need of a little refurbishment, but hopefully thay will still accept our two dogs. We have visited 3 times now and we have always been looked after extremely well, with avery young child, now a toddler and various... More

We only stayed for one night but the accommodation was great and location was set within a picturesque country side village. Would definitely stay there again. The pub attached is a great accompaniment. We loved the log fire and finding out about the history of buildings. The food was very good also.

Likes: fabulous meal (great fish and meat dishes - the Game casserole was a hit with the boys, friendly fun service, great decor (cosy, log fires), great food, great menu, great prices, great location (although an adventure to find). Dislikes: Nothing at all.

A bit difficult to find but well worth it. We arrived just after lunch, the key to the room left out for us to find. Good, clean, comfortable and peaceful room. As we had a dog with us we thought we would have been accommodated in an annexe or a basic room but this was not the case. The meal... More

We stayed here for two nights on 21st abd 22nd August. It is situated in a very small quiet village and we seemed to have quite a countryside drive to arrive there. We loved our room. Each room has a teddybear name and ours was Edward. We thought it quite cute when we saw a large teddybear on the bed... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights in The Royal Oak Inn.The village is very small and feels very remote even though it is only a ten minute drive from Dunster. The Inn itself is old and has plenty of old world charm. The hosts and staff are very friendly. Our room overlooked the stream but the noise of the... More

We had stayed at the Royal Oak several times previously and always enjoyed ourselves. This stay was more of the same - service, drink, food, room, ambiance, all excellent. Luxborough is a lovely village in a beautiful setting of rolling hills and wooded valleys. It's only a few miles South of Dunster, but has none of Dunster's manicured appearance. A... More
