My husband and I spent 5 nights at Hibiscus Hotel. Before we arrived, we received welcoming emails with helpful advice, and were well taken care of the minute we arrived (in the pouring rain). Our bungalow was very clean, quiet and authentic with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, we used the kitchenette for breakfast and lunch but wouldn't... More

This is a two star hotel. There is no way of getting around that. Initially we were concerned that there was no air conditioning in the bungalows, but this turned out to be a bonus for us. Too many times we have stayed in air conditioned bungalows and made that the focus of our stay in a humid climate. The... More

We ordered the poison cru and a seafood pizza. Both very delicious! Together with a great cold beer and some water we couldn't ask for anything more. The Tahitian lady who helped us was very nice and friendly. And then the setting: absolutely stunning!

We took an unplanned taxi trip here, from the port, for $5 USD each way. It's just next to the (very small) local town, so it's close to a couple of other shops & bars. We did not stay at the hotel overnight, but we had lunch and enjoyed the beach. The food was excellent (beautiful sashimi platter), not the... More

This is a lovely, 2 star hotel. It seemed to be popular with Tahitian families and folks who have travelled to Moorea before. We enjoyed the kitchenette and having a grocery store with in walking distance to provide a break from eating out each meal. Rooms were beautifully cleaned each day, staff was willing to help with booking transportation/excursions and... More

Returned from Tahiti last month and I have to say, the hotel Hibiscus was once again the star of my trip. If you have the opportunity, stay in bungalow #1 or #2. They have recently upgraded these rooms with rivals any 5 star in the island~ Absolutely beautiful furnishings and the new beds are amazing. BRAVO ! There is also... More

I really do not know what to say about this hotel. It has everything, but still I felt annoyed most of the time staying here. Good things first: good location (can watch the sunsets every night), a grocery store close by, private bungalows, private beach, canoe rental, a pool, possibility to cook inside the bungalow ++ So on paper: good... We had a pool-side, air-conditioned room for our stay at Hotel Hibiscus as the bungalows were booked out. The room was fine, spartan but clean, and the bonus was the kitchenette with a stove, bar-fridge, equipment and tea/coffee provided. This proved handy as the breakfast buffet was not included and was terribly overpriced (AUD $25 per person for basic continental)!... More

My husband and I had no lodging lined up for our trip (as usual) when we started talking to the couple next to us on the plane. They told us that they had to stay at the Hotel Hibiscus. We made reservations for our first night on Moorea in one of the bungalows. We lucked out and got room 11,... More
