We stopped here for lunch on the recommendation of Eva Perles. And a good choice it was. The dining area is open to catch the breeze and the setting is unpretentious. But this belies the quality of the food, the drinks and the service. The food is particularly notable for its quantity and tastiness. It was high summer when we... More

We did not stay at this hotel, but we ate at the restaurant. We had a great table (out on the open deck), with a tremendous view of the atoll. The owner was extremely nice, and the service was great. Earlier in the day, they had made arrangements for us to take a boat trip out to the "motu" (a... More

I'm writing this belatedly but am sure it's still the same as when I visited for a week in Jan 2015. The best part of this place is the birds - black or brown noddies (sea birds) roosting in the coconut and breadfruit trees on the property. Simply magical. Not sure the mostly French visitors truly appreciate these birds -... More

I will never forget my stay at this hotel: fantastic staff, fantastic location, fantastic food. The restaurant is definitely the best in the island, the view is incredible, Philip is a great host and his lovely son Julian is great. Room was good size and fully equipped with what you need. The staff at the reception can arrange any activities... More

I've been there during my honeymoon 7 years ago and it was a fantastic place where we could go deeper in the Polinesian experience. Wild and very typical Polinesian Bungalows and a fantastic Beach where we could enjoy landscapes and colours we believed impossible to exist. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely place. Great pool. Right on beachfront. Good restaurant. Easy pickup off beach to go on Whale watching excursion. Beach good for snorkelling and swimming. Quiet. Small shops nearby. Yes some livestock noise - roosters , birds and a bit of barking, but prefer that to people noise. No security concerns.

We highly recommend staying at the Hibiscus hotel, everything was quite perfect. Everyone was really nice and helpful, recommended great activities and gave us loads of information, our room was lovely, clean and convenient with a kitchenette, there's a strong wifi throughout the property (which is a HUGE perk on the islands!), we found great snorkeling nearby, and a fantastic... We stayed at the Hotel Hibiscus near the end of January 2015 on our honeymoon. We had a lagoon view bungalow - basic but comfortable, and near the restaurant. We found the restaurant staff to be friendly and providing excellent service. The gentleman at Hotel Hibiscus' main reception was Patrice (We called him Pat). He was awesome! Made our stay... More

Hotel Hibiscus was a great deal on this very expensive island. Our room was clean and had air conditioning (we were in the building, not the cottages) and a kitchenette. The grounds were well maintained and there is a restaurant on site with pizza, pasta, etc. (pricing is a bit high though). The front desk person is very knowledgeable about... More
