Our annual trip to Barend gets better each year. Gary and Leslie work hard to improve the bar each time we visit, the new decor in the bar and restaurant is lovely. The staff are welcoming and there's a great atmosphere too. The food was fantastic, quick to arrive and excellent quality and value. Thank you to Gary and Leslie... More

Just home from our first time at Barend holiday Village. We stayed in a lodge overlooking the loch and it was beautiful. Great place for dogs. Very pet friendly. Great wee pool, lovely walks and great accommodation. Lovely food in the onsite pub, friendly staff.

Stayed for a long weekend at Barend holiday village. We stayed in chalet number 73 which was ideally located for the Barend centre complex. The chalet was perfectly appointed with all the amenities of home, modern furnishings throughout and very comfortable beds. So peaceful and quiet at night. We enjoyed dining at the Barend bar and the weekly bar quiz... More

Great spot to enjoy a quiet and piecefull retreat sourranded by nature in a neat village. We stayed at unit 73 which is in immaculate fashion. Cozy, clean, fully functional to let your cooking skills fleurish or enjoy a night (or two) at the wonderful local pub/restaurant. I can't wait to go back. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Barend holiday village. We stayed in chalet number 55 and was really happy with the accommodation. It included everything you need for a self catering holiday and was excellently furnished. The surrounding area is very picturesque and peaceful and made for an excellent getaway. Ideal for walkers and mountain bikers.... More

Didn't arrive until after midnight thanks to a broken sat nav, luckily the bar was still open and our key had been left for us, friendly and welcoming staff. Lodge 72 is gorgeous, we fell in love with it, lovely and clean with everything you need, beautiful view of the woodland and wildlife. There's not much to do in the... More

After reading the reviews I was surprised at how highly rated the Barend Holiday Village was. Perhaps I went there with our son and granddaughter expecting that all we had read in their pamphlet would be true. When we read the pamphlet it said free fishing in our lake, swimming and childrens play. We went to reception and asked the... More

What a shame you did not book with Barend Holiday Village as there would be absolutely no charge for swimming. You booked a chalet at Barend through an off site agency and then came to the Barend Holiday Village Reception. If you had booked through Barend Holiday Village you would have had a high quality lodge - although I am... More
