Stayed in Maison Bellachonne for one night as we travelled down to Castelnaudrey. Once again everything was great. Our room was an absolute pleasure to sleep in, everything about the ambience aids a great nights sleep. Great host's and honest and helpful travel tips. It's worth staying in Bellac just to experience the Bellachonne experience.

We were lucky to find this gem of a chamber d'hôte. A warm, friendly welcome by our hosts and a beautiful, comfortable room awaited two weary travellers. We enjoyed a restorative drink in the garden before getting a good nights rest. The breakfast in the morning set us up brilliantly for the day's travel ahead. Their service continued beyond our... A friendly welcome from lovely hosts - we were hot, tired and offered cold drinks in the rear garden as soon as we'd settled in our light and airy room A 'comfy' bed, a good night's sleep and a lovely continental breakfast, including cereals and a locally produced cheese. Wi-fi available in the dining room Highly recommended Thank you!!!

We discovered this b&b through this site so thought it only fair to give back similar feedback to other travellers and to the hosts! We stayed for 2 nights last September while en route from Aigues Mortes (Gard) to the ferry for Ireland at Cherbourg. Our stay was absolutely lovely, the room was perfect with small details including some great... More

We have just spent another two nights at this lovely restored house in Bellac. Eleanor and John made us feel very welcome again, and were excellent hosts. The large, comfortable rooms are a pleasure to behold and the view from our window, over the Vincou valley was lovely. Supper was excellent with good food, fabulous wine and wonderful company, shared... More

Last March I was here for only one night and was made to feel like family so this trip I stayed for three nights. John, Eleanor, and Lucy made me feel at home during meals and telling me about the different aspects of the city. Eleanor took me for a walk around the old part of town and introduced me... More

First time for years driving through France to Spain without our dog, so we decided to have a change from budget motels. Many thanks to Eleanor and John for making us so welcome. We enjoyed a beer with them before a suggestion for a restaurant that was just up the road. Again at The Creperie we had a no frills... More

Thankfully, my partner's motorbike decided to overheat so we stopped in Bellac to top up the bike with water, fully intending to carry on riding until the next big town. After a coffee, we decided that the town looked lovely so we visited the tourist information office to recommend a hotel for the night. The lady there rang this hotel... More
