This is a really wonderful place to stay. Jan and Adam are magnificent hosts and do their utmost to make your visit here very special. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The building has a lovely welcoming atmosphere...down to the hosts! Excellent food, very comfortable rooms and reasonably priced. Useful to have a kitchen available to guests for making... More

We were driving to Verteuil and needed emergency accommodation. We called and advised we wouldn't arrive till 10pm and they were so accommodating. The rooms were lovely and clean. The beds were very comfy and it was right in the heart of the village. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was very nice and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was served in the communal kitchen and was very good. You could use the kitchen to cook a meal if you wanted to and it had every needed to do so. There was also wine and beer in the fridge which you could have, you... More

We spent five wonderful nights in this great B&B in the Charente region. The room was great, bed made every day (!), and excellent breakfasts. Access to the communal kitchen and the honour bar was much appreciated. We stayed in the "apartment", which has a ground floor living room and the bedroom on the first floor. That bedroom has an... Quaint town in a nice part of the Charente, clean rooms but bath towels not changed while we stayed there so one night is probably enough! Host quite friendly never saw much of his wife thou until time to pay! Rooms a bit claustrophobic no windows just velux in roof. Handy for the short walk into town..

We enjoyed a very relaxing 4 night stay in this characterful property in a wonderfully picturesque location. Jan and Adam were extremely welcoming and provided us with a lovely supper on our arrival. Throughout our stay they were very friendly and helpful in every way. Highly Recommended.

Our third stay at Les Bruyeres as we are building a house in the vicinity. It is a brilliant place to stay, and by far the best we have found in the area. The layout has been very well thought through, arranged around a courtyard which offers privacy while being on the same site as the owners, Adam and Jan,... More

Could not complain about any aspect of this B&B. Friendly hosts, good sized room and en suite, a kitchen available for our use if needed and a lovely area out the back to sit (where we also had breakfast). This was a flying visit and we didn't have much chance to enjoy the accommodation but would recommend it.

This was our second visit to Les Bruyeres within the last three months and this was as good as the first. We stayed in the ground floor family room which is very big and has a large bathroom. Rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The hosts are excellent and very knowledgeable. Breakfasts were great. We had continental breakfast when we... More

Jan and Adam made us feel really welcome after a day on the road. There is secure parking which was great for a couple of old soft tops. The rooms are lovely, spacious, light and immaculate. Breakfast would have been on the patio but a shower brought us inside to a self contained kitchen area that you could use as your... More
