Stayed at the Grange on a Saturday evening, ample car parking, wonderful peaceful setting yet so close to Bristol and motorway connections, noticed on our arrival that a wedding was being held at the hotel but this in no way affected the service we received,we booked a privileged double room, the room was large and well equipped and the double... I thought I'd book a romantic night for my wife I upgraded the bedroom to privilege room but was disappointed at the hairs in the bath it had clearly not been cleaned also only small hand towels then the flat screen TV only had 4 channels and was told unlimited movies but they wanted to charge £6.50 for a film... Spent a Saturday night here as we needed to be in North Bristol. Upon approach, the grounds looked attractive and well maintained. There was a wedding underway which caused us concern for potential noise later on, but we hadn't checked in advance so that was our own fault. There was plenty of parking available in the car park, although the... More

Not our choice to stay here, but was getting late and the cheapest option left to take. In all our touring around England this was the dearest place at £149, we are Australian so over $300, just not worth the price. Only had two single beds and shower with a toilet that ran all night and the TV wouldn't work.... More

Okay, so positive things first. The hotel and grounds are lovely, and the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately that's where it ended. My fiancé and I stayed 1 long night with our 6 month son. 2 weeks prior, I emailed the hotel to check if there was a wedding on the day of our stay. "No" was the reply, then... More

Dear Guest, I appreciate that the central reservations department did not provide you with the correct information regarding events being held at the hotel during your stay, for this I am very sorry. As you eluded to, the matter has been dealt with privately between us and a goodwill gesture of compensation agreed. I am sorry we didn't meet your... More

This hotel is located a little off the beaten path, quite close to the airport, and has lovely scenery. Luckily I have a customer nearby so it serves as a perfect hotel for my visits to Bristol. The room is spacious and the restaurant is decent. If you don't have a car there is no chance of walking anywhere. FYI... More

We recently married at The Grange on the 5th June 2015 and want to say what a fantastic day was had by all of the people at the ceremony and at the evening party. The wedding was planned superbly by Robyn and her team which took a lot of weight off of our shoulders. On the day of the wedding,... More

So you arrive at the Mercure, drive up this long twisting drive, thinking "oh this will be nice". You get to the car park after a day of driving, take your case, shirts and go to reception or what you think is reception. Then find out it's the old reception. The reception has been moved which means you need to... More

We stay in four star hotels within UK between six and ten times most years. We normally avoid Mercure hotels as they usually offer poor value for money. On principle I also strongly object to their practice of forcing telephone contact via expensive premium rate numbers. We stayed one night dinner, bed and breakfast at the North Grange as we were...
