The focus of the staff seems to be on the restaurant, which seemed to be pretty high-end for the town. The location is great, right off the main square city center. Our double room was very clean, and ok size. Some things we didn't like: GPS directions did not take us where we needed to go by car to get... More

This is a lovely hotel, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The server even translated each dish on the menu for us as it was all in German. The location is perfect with parking nearby. There is one serious and potentially dangerous problem here. They will only give you one key per room; you have to have a... More

We spent two nights here in June, 2013. The Kreuz Post is a very nice hotel. Having said that, we were given a room in the "new" part of the hotel (room numbers assigned, not fruit pictures on the door). It was a spacious, well equipped room that felt more like an upscale US chain hotel room, than an old,... More

Ok, first off: the rooms don't have numbers. They have little symbols with fruit. It was utterly charming. I think we had the cherry, pear, and blackberry rooms. The rooms themselves were colorful, terrifically clean, and had tea-making supplies. There is no elevator. The stairs are wide and comfortable (not steep or spiral). Breakfast was very good, with nice variety... More

We stayed earlier this week at this hotel. We made an unexpected stop to visit Staufen and decided to stay overnight. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel room was large for the price and spotlessly clean. No WiFi but you can connect by cable for a 5 Euro charge. Otherwise the hotel is modern and the rooms look... More

This is a beautiful guesthouse, but guests and service lack, due to the popularity of the restaurant. We originally booked 2 nights with this place. They stated they had wireless Internet. Because we work and travel, we asked the hotel to inform us if their Internet was not reliable. No wireless existed, so we cut our stay to 1 night.... More

We came back to this hotel after a 5 year gap. It was even better than we remembered. Because my wife has difficulty walking we had a room in the new part of the hotel which is served by a lift. The rooms in the old part of the hotel are good but the new ones are superb. A really... More

A most charming hotel in a most charming little town. And don't miss Staufen, but stay elsewhere if you can. They say you can have internet, but believe me, you cannot. We saw several other guests realizing they did not have the internet they were promised. And there is no place to sit and check your email even, unless you... More

Stayed here for two nights in April...hotel was incredible - very clean, rooms were extremely comfortable with large, modern bathrooms (amazing showers)...breakfast was great, service was top notch and the people were all wonderful. Staufen is a great town, close to many places but not touristy at all...would highly recommend a visit to this town and hotel...you can't beat it... More
