Breakfast (7-10am): I think we only paid about EUR10 more for the B&B option per room all in all about EUR100. Well worth it. You will not be able to find a café close by to have breakfast outside of the hotel (no Starbucks in sight) and the price is reasonable considering you get a nice buffet. You will have... More

We got the deal from german groupon website for 4 nights with breakfast and parking for 129 euro. This was a very good deal having in mind that originally the price was between 300 and 400 euro. Generally the hotel as i saw at websites is kind of expensive but from the deal i bought was more than good. Additionally... More

Regardless of its size or star ratings, the main things I look for in any hotel are that it be clean, comfortable and quiet, that it have a good location, and that it represent good value for whatever price sector it competes in. This hotel surpassed all my criteria. On top of these attributes, the breakfast buffet was great and... More

We arrived in Staufen without a reservation and were pleased to find a room here. The location is central to the square as well as the train station. The staff was very efficient and pleasant, the room was good with a small balcony, and the breakfast was generous. Pretty good value for Staufen; we would stay again.

The the rooms are abt €100 per night which is a little expensive. But what you get is very clean rooms, a really comfortable bed, a central location in staufen and rooms with a castle view. Breakfast is ok and of the usual continental menu. I would recommend it and stay again

While traveling from Austria to France we spent one night in Staufen. Rooms were clean, comfortable and included a full breakfast. The village of Staufen is wonderful, mostly pedestrian only just a few steps from the front door of the hotel. Good value.

We spent two nights in Staufen and loved it. Our first choice hotel (on the square) was full. Goethe Hotel turned out to be an excellent second choice. It is a three-minute walk from the center of town. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. From our balcony, we had a nice view of the castle that overlooks... More

We ended up staying in Staufen for one day as for some reason we had trouble with availability in Freiburg but it turned out to be a wonderful stroke of luck as not only is Staufen a wonderfully quaint and picturesque town, but we arrived on the first day of a special festival celebrating the history of it's town. We... More

I stayed here as part of a conference. While initially displeased to be removed from the actual location, I found Staufen to be a lovely little town, with numerous good restaurents and beautiful sightseeing. The rooms were clean, well laid out. Each room has a private balcony with roll-down shutters. Our view included the garden of an adjacent property and... More
