Our second visit on an HF walking holiday, and absolutely superb. Food fantastic, staff great and room very good. The more negative reviews of Allshellach are invariably from those using the hotel for B+B, and therefore feel sidelined, as the majority of guests are partaking of an HF walking or activity holiday. This is unfortunate, and perhaps more could be... More

If you are not there for the HF holiday week then don't bother going for a B and B stay. We went just for the night as we were passing through and needed somewhere to stay. Thank goodness we only stayed one night. We went out for dinner to return to have a swim I asked the lady if We... More

We had a room in the old building. The room was clean and functional, but not very big. Its okay for 1 night, if you have a longer stay its probably better to book a room in the new building. The only thing I didn't really like was the fact, that we had almost no water pessure in the shower.... More

We spent the last 4 nights of our West Highland Way walking holiday at the HF hotel at Alltshellach. This is the second HF Hotel we have used and I don't think it was up to the standard of Newfield Hall in Malhamdale. Our room was in the newer west wing and was of a very good standard. The pool... This isn't 4* hotel. It's... something else. When you enter this hotel, there´ s no reception desk-just an envelope with your key on the table. Room (in a new building) was nice, but there was no hot water in my room at 23:30 (and due to no 24h. reception you can´t do anything with that). The single room costs almost... More

We spent the last four nights of our HF organised West Highland Way walk, so it was no surprise that we were put up in this HF owned property. The location looks great, and you can see right down to Loch Leven and the mountains beyond from the public rooms and bedrooms at the back. It is about 600 yards... More

This hotel has fantastic views of the surrounding loch and hills, especially from the pool and some of the reception rooms. The pool was nice and hot tub felt great after a log day. Putting the covers on the pool and taking them off was a bit of a faff and maybe a bit of a struggle for older people... More

If what you want is a quiet place to stay in Glencoe, that's the place. Only this! Located in a beautiful area, it is not too close from Glencoe or Fort William. Breakfast is poor, anybody appeared to help us during check in and the room offer few confort. If you want to have dinner, better walk for 10 minutes... More

I will preface this review by saying that we did stay at several 4* accomodations all over Scotland, but this did not live up to our expectations. My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed the night of September 21st. We had found the hotel online and based on the information and photos posted there expected a much different... More

A very lovely B&B situated on the banks of a river. The rooms are big and clean and bright. Very well furnished and quiet. There is a small "island" owned by the B&B right behind the lawn which one can walk up to and have a picnic on. There is small wooded area which is also a great place for... More
