We had a nice night here at the start of our recent stay in Richmond. The pub downstairs was a fine place to grab some traditional fare, the service was friendly, and the location was convenient. Our room upstairs was small but tidy and had its own bathroom. There was a "continental breakfast" provided in the room's fridge, but when... More

We went for a meal with my son and daughter in law for my birthday. I ordered pork loin which was about six pieces of paper thin tough pieces of pork served on a bed of mash. My son ordered a steak which was so tough and dry you could have used it to sole your shoes. My husband ordered... More

Hi Shirley, I am sorry that your experience was not a good one. I know that there is no excuse for bad service but we did have a situation behind the scenes on that particular night which was unfortunately beyond our control. The bar manager on duty that evening offered you a refund on your meal which you accepted. He... More

I was not aware that the pub had rooms to rent as many other reviewers have stated. I went there with friends for Sunday lunch quite late in the afternoon. I remember as we had been turned away from other pubs in the area because it was past 3pm, and nobody served lunch at that time except the Red Cow.... More

Spent a Saturday night here as a base for visiting Kew in December. Arrived in the bar and was warmly greeted and shown to our room. The room was fair sized and comfortable. The location of the Red Cow is great, just on the edge of town but within easy walking distance. Parking was no trouble, parked outside the pub... More

I needed to stay one night in the Richmond area to catch up with relatives. I found the Red Cow had received good reviews so thought I would try it out. Richmond is a town within the metropolis of London that has always had a good vibe about it. It's only 30mins by tube from London Victoria and the Red... More

Firstly this is not a hotel, it is a pub which has accommodation comprising of four rooms. Parking, as mentioned in other reviews is essentially residents parking in one of three streets across the road to the pub. It is not very convenient, but no complaints as I was aware of this beforehand. The pub itself is a decent, traditional... More

For the price it is a very comfortable basic place to stay. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and they even left us a pint of fresh milk in the room fridge for our breakfast which we really appreciated. The staff were also very helpful when I had a couple of queries. You have your own entrance... More

We booked a room here for a couple of nights as we needed to be within easy driving distance of Richmond Park. It is very well situated with the main shopping area of Richmond and the river only 5 - 10 minutes' walk away. We booked on-street parking in advance, but this had not been dealt with before our arrival,... More

Stayed here with 2 old school friends on a reunion weekend. Room was comfortable and ideally located within easy walking distance of the railway and the river so we could walk to Twickenham along the river path. We had 3 comfortable single beds and a fridge which contained breakfast. Main issue for me it that it was a hot weekend... More

Red Cow is on of Richmond's hidden gems as it is away from the river and town centre. A Young's pub but always has special's on which recently have been Twickenham Ales which are great. Kitchen is being refurbished in July so no food at the moment. Has TV's which show sport but they don't dominate the pub.
