We stayed at this hotel for a spa package, which included one night accommodation, breakfast, use of the spa, 2 treatments and dinner in the 2 rosette awarded restaurant. It was great value for £185, and the hotel did not disappoint. The spa is lovely, the restaurant offers great food and great service, and the room we stayed in was... more

My wife and I stayed here for two nights after our wedding. The best thing about the hotel is the gym/spa/health centre next door to which hotel guests have free access (the two are physically connected, so there is no need to leave the building). The health centre has very clean, and very modern facilities. We stayed in a room... more

Arrived at Hotel a bit early but staff found a room available to move into. The most comfy bed I have slept in and the room was just right temperature wise. The spa is a must to go and relax in and you do not need your own towels.Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet nice but lacking in baked beans on... more

Stayed here for the weekend, and staff were obviously on a skeleton shift on Sunday evening. We had booked a superior room, and I must say, it was very comfortable, with a nice view overlooking the front of the hotel. They do really need to do something about the floorboards, though. The whole floor creaked as you walked around the... more

Overall a nice place for something 287 years old (built 1720). Room 20 was quite large with Queen bed, 2 chairs, sofa and desk. Floor to ceiling windows with french doors to small balcony overlooking car park. Clean and in good condition. Unfortunately, the floor squeaked like mad with every step. Tried to find a quiet path around bed, but... more

We stayed here the night after our wedding at the Richmond registry office. About £50 cheaper than a couple of other hotels of the same class nearby (probably because it doesn't have their views of the Thames), but we couldn't fault the service or the friendliness of the staff. We were upgraded to a four-poster room, but the original room... more

On arriving at this hotel it looked fine if not a little pricey so I was expecting a very nice room. We paid £130 a night for our stay so when I eventually got into the room I was very dissapointed. The room was tiny and dated with furniture that was coming apart, there was only enough room for the... more

We stayed for four nights. The room was quite small (but with huge bathroom), the housekeeping - slow. The rest was OK. Nice pool and spa is real value-for-money. more

Booked with the Richmond Gate as it was the only available hotel in town that was both close to the event we were attending, and with a reasonable amount of parking. Whilst there were no real problems - room was clean, staff were polite, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was pretty good, we thought it was over priced for... more

I didn't get of to a good start with the reservations line always busy and I got cut off twice. Thought of it as a blip, but no such luck. Slow check in and the housekeeping standard was quite low. Dirty cups we had left in the morning still there in the evening, carpet was not vacuumed and the bin... more
