Beautiful situation overlooking Petersham Meadow and River Thames. Our room was a garden view no 304. Super views from restaurant and terrace. Only problem was no air conditioning in bedroom and summer in England this year is VERY hot! Good public rooms and car park. Bed was not as good as we would expect. Staff very helpful and provided iron... More

This charming, traditional hotel is right in the spot where Turner and Reynolds painted their extraordinary landscapes. It takes you back to the 1800s and you expect a horse and carriage to show up. Get the room with the balcony over-looking the Thames and green.

I lived in Richmond for years and always looked at the Petersham from the outside - from the river its an impressive building. But for all the grandeur of the building, the inside of the hotel, especially the rooms need some modernisation. The welcome was less than friendly. It felt like we were not as welcome as the large wedding... More

I spent a weekend at The Petersham as a base whilst undertaking various activities in the area. I had a single room on the second floor which was perfect for mu=y needs, comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and fast internet. Did not use any facilities or have any food, but the bedroom was perfect.

We stayed at the Petersham for 3 nights when going to Hampton Court Flower show. When we first arrived the initial view of the hotel was - this is beautiful! The reception staff were very good and when we were taken to our room (214) I couldn't believe our luck. We had a view of the Thames and green fields... More

I am not any more into staying into traditional, heritage English places with "character". They simply do not provide good value. Room was tiny, equipment dated, TV from nineties screw to the wall. Dusty curtains, throw and cushions. I have stayed in much better rooms in mere B&Bs. Place is popular with people over 65. It is 20 min walk... More

As locals, we really want to love this place. it has an enviable position on Richmond Hill with fabulous views of the meadow and Thames but the quality of the hotel itself is just not up to scratch. On entry, there's no-one to greet you but we knew where the restaurant was so just showed ourselves through to it. As... More

This hotel is in a beautiful setting and has fabulous views but in general the hotel is tired and needs refurbishment. It is not up to the standard of a 21 century hotel. The meal in the restaurant was poor and the steak was so fatty it was returned and not charged for which is an indication of the whole... More

I attended a wedding Reception at this venue and was not disappointed. It is a beautiful Hotel, very well kept and the grounds are fantastic and the views stunning. I was eating in one of the Private dining areas and the food was fantastic. I would certain recommend this hotel for food and Location

The Petersham has several charming features, most of all its stunning views of the River Thames and its surrounding fields. My course mate and I shared a room in the front part of the building. She felt it lacked privacy and was a little too noisy in the morning for her liking. My bed wasn't very comfortable... the springs might... More
