Enjoyed our stay at this hotel, where our then 3 year old was made very welcome. It is well placed on the main road (A470) - only drawback being that it can be a busy road and therefore not always easy to get out of the car park. Lovely view over the meadow, easy walking distance of the charming small... more

We chose this hotel for the location as it was quite central to places we wanted to visit. On arrival, from the outside it was very pleasant and the views opposite were lovely. However, this was nothing to the welcome we received. The hotel is run by a young couple who have recently refurbished the hotel. All the rooms were... more

Having just returned from the meadowsweet after attending our nieces wedding, it was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in.The room was beautiful overlooking the front of the hotel onto fields. The food was excellent in the restaurant and on the day of the wedding. The staff and owners went out of their way to make sure you... more

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel! I booked it over the internet requesting a double room, however, as it was a bank holiday, all that was available was a twin. The hotel staff rang me up to make sure that I was OK with this and apologise for not having what I requested. In addition, she provided a... more

The new proprietors of this hotel, a young family, have been making it better and better by the month. We've stayed here twice now and the improvements in interior design and comfort are tremendous. The refurbished bedrooms have every comfort and the restaurant and bar are the best you could expect in the area. There is an air of sophistication... more

We were unsure what to expect as we had read on-line a few negative reviews of this hotel. We were absolutely delighted with our stay and regret that it was only for one night. Our room was delightfully furnished, the hosts most welcoming and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone with the possible exception... more

The personal service provided by Mary and Nelson is a welcome relief from the anonymous staff in the hotel chains. The rooms are individual and very comfortable whilst the food is superb. I found the free wireless availability in every room very helpful in the evenings as it allowed me to finish off work without the cost or connection problems... more

Mary & Nelson, the owners of the Meadowsweet, are probably the friendliest, most helpful hoteliers we've ever encountered. The hotel is in a good setting, with views from the front rooms over the open countryside - the field opposite is home to 3 horses & a flock of geese. Our room was small, but perfectly adequate for our needs, although... more

A family member booked this hotel for us - we stayed in Room 9- a family room for two adults and two children. The room was spotless clean, newly decorated with fanatastic view of surronding countryside. The room was very warm at all times and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was first class with a varied menu to suit all tastes.... more
