The first thing to be said about this hotel is it is right on the main road. Yes, there are lovely views from the back and front of the hotel but the photo is misleading. We were a party of 8 with 4 rooms and this was booked by a relative and after looking at the webiste I upgraded to... more

I stay regularly at the Meadowsweet and am amazed at the two negative reviews. The hotel is the friendliest that I have ever stayed at and Mary and Nelson are excellent hosts. All the staff are exceptional; and go out of their way to help in a way which is rare nowadays. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms have... more

The hotel is in a great location to expolore Snowdonia. The staff were very friendy and we thought the food was excellent. The main problem was the room. It was tired looking to say the least. The bathroom was a green suite straight from the 1970s. The shower was small and the head kept falling apart. The bedroom was a... more

We booked room 3, as we wanted to treat ourselves, and it was lovely - a huge four poster bed with stunning views. We had planned our three days carefully so we could make effective use of our time there, and the hotel acted as a wonderful base, even making a packed lunch for us. The choice at breakfast was... more

Stayed 2 nights here in a double room. Room 'cold' with bare wood floor; we were glad of the small fan heater but should not be needed in August! Had a room at the side of the hotel overlooking houses. Very small toilet/shower room that was in need of refurbishment; the yellow(!) basin has a crack right through it. Poor... more

I booked this place for 2 nights, based almost entirely on reviews I found (overwhelmingly positive) on Tripadvisor. My experience just couldn't be more different; so much so it hardly seems like it was the same hotel.Either we were given the only horrible room in the hotel or it's a case of us being too fussy. This hotel is dark and... more

We stayed at here for the second year in a row and as before, excellent service, excellent food, excellent staff. We were celebrating our Ruby Wedding and chose to spend it here because of the wonderful stay the previous year and we were not disappointed. Nelson and Mary presented us with flowers for our aniversary what a lovely gesture from... more

We stayed with our best friends for a weekend break. Initial thoughts of being on the main road did not cause a problem. From the moment we arrived Mary and the staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. A wonderful place to use as a base to see North Wales, Conway and Llandudno are a must. We booked an... more

My husband and I chose Meadowsweet hotel because of its location to several attractions in the Snowdonia region. We were pleasantly surpised with the location of the hotel and the room. We stayed in room #3, which has a king sized poster bed and an en-suite bathroom. The view did have a nice background of Snowdonia, but we were also... more

I just agree with all the other good reviews. Pleasant bedroom, good food and excellent service-the bar was a relaxing place to sit. more
