Although the hotel is in desperate need of a refurb, we found it comfortable and clean. The room was at the front of the Hotel and had a shower, tea making facilities and a T.V. The staff were friendly and polite and the breakfast was more than adequate. We met a friendly group of women from Wales and had a... more

We should have checked the reviews and gone elsewhere. Stayed here saturday night. Room was tiny, at the back of the bar - next to the mens toilet. Something was growing in the shower and the bathroom smelled of wee. The front door of the hotel is open all night so anyone can walk in. The radiator clanged all night... more

Me and a friend stayed here for a weekend break to visit family nearby, thank goodness we were only using it for sleeping! We didn't have high expectations as we've both worked in enough coaching/seaside hotels to know the general standard but this place stunned both of us. We checked in at the bar, via the "night door" as requested... more

I booked 3 rooms for 3 nights at this hotel, i only read the reviews after i had booked otherwise i wouldn't have booked. Thay advertised entertainment of which they cancelled because there were only about 10 people in the hotel. I wonder why. The breakfast was microwaved and i think they recycled the unused food from the day before... more

33 members of our local pensioners club arrived for a weeks holiday expecting the same high quality treatment we have become used to, this being the 14th holiday together. Unfortunately this was not the case, in fact it was a nightmare. The hotel was very dirty and run-down. The evening meal menus' were far worse than would be acceptable in... more

I stayed here with my elderly mother over bank holiday. We were given a room at the top of the hotel that wasn't suitable as my mother can't walk very well, but the receptionist found another room on the ground floor for us and it was no trouble for her, she apologised and even bought us a drink from the... more

This week-end was a 'treat' from my sister who had a great stay there 4 years ago (before it changed hands!!) We arrived at this rather tired and run-down looking hotel. A group of lads arrived just before us, the receptionist was young and too inexperienced to deal with rowdy drunken men who were trying to check in. When we... more
