We were worried at the reviews we read on this site after making the booking. However we found the hotel fine. We liked the quiet location with great sea views and walking by a deserted bay. The staff were friendly and helpful if a little stretched at times. The food was excellent and the 2 for one dining very good... more

My wife and I stayed here overnight 23rd/24th May 2009 for a wedding fuction. The room we had was tired in decor and there was plenty of black mould around the edge of the bath. We had a meal around 5.00pm and some children on our table threw a fair bit of food around. When we went to the dining... more

Arriving after dark we were unable to view the exterior of the Hotel but the car park was full with only one space remaining, which usually is a good sign. It transpired that there was a function in progress ( a popular venue apparently), reception was unattended and we were met with a welcome sign instructing us to telephone for... more

My wife and I stayed here for two days in April 09 ...Its a well situated hotel on the edge of Weston and a walk along the log infested beach was enjoyable although the tide seemed to stay out for ever ! On appearance the hotel could do with a lick of paint and new signage but there ends the... more

We stayed at this hotel during the Christmas holidays and although we read bad reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. Although the decor was a bit outdated and the reception could certainly have done with a kick into the 21st century (with it's puke orange coloured walls and pink floral sofas), the receptionist was friendly and very helpful. We were offered... more

Having read other reviews we were somewhat apprehensive as to what we would find We need not have worried. From the initial greeting at reception through to our departure we were more than satisfied with the service given by all members of staff in all departments. The room may have been a little dated in decor but was very clean... more

This is the first time that I have ever felt the urge to write a hotel review. We arrived at the Commodore and it seemed okay from the outside. When we entered reception we thought it looked a bit dated and shabby. We were shown to our room and as soon as I put my bag down I noticed toe... more
