This was our second stay at the Anchor Head Hotel, having been before in 2010. The hotel is excellent and the staff are extremely helpful. The food is varied and plentiful. The entertainment and quizzes are very good and the excursions very informative and enjoyable. Due to it's location the hotel is not easy to access if you are elderly... More

Thank you very much for your review and I was delighted that you had such an enjoyable stay. I have noted your comments about the location of the hotel and would advise that the buses run every half an hour in the season (Apr- Sept) and every hour out of season, to the Town and from Town. The bus stop... More

Just come back from a week with family including elderly inlaws. My brief was to find a reasonably priced sea front hotel with evening entertainment, which is exactly what this hotel is. We were a bit perturbed on arrival to find that there was no car park, but after the weekend this did not prove a problem and we were... More

I have just spent 7 days at this marvellous hotel. The manager Janet & her husband Malcolm are a lovely couple and will do everything in their power to help you with any problems. The kitchen staff made very nice meals and the waiters were very good at their jobs. There was entertainment every night with Bingo, quizes, entertainers and... More

Stayed for 4 nights with a coach travel company. Stayed on a half board basis. The hotel was very good. Meals varied choice and well cooked. Sea view room was exactly as it said, the sea was virtually under the window. Good view of Holm Island and the south Wales coast. Nice on suite bathroom with shower that was easy... More

Just had a lovely sunny 6 day break in Weston-Super-Mare. This hotel provides an excellent clean and tidy service with the friendly touch - nothing was ' too much trouble '. Dining - Food was good with varied choice and staff 'spot on'. Would recommend it as good value and a pleasant stay.

Just did a 5 day break with Alfa to this hotel, turkey and tinsel, with fancy dress thrown in. Never been to this part of the world before and it was wonderful. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are warm and clean, food is great, and bar and lounge areas are light and spacious. And the sea view has to... More

The Anchor hotel is clean and comfortable. What you would expect for price. It was unfortunate that the week we stayed staff had returned to Poland and staff where off sick so the dinning was understaffed to say the least. had to wait a long time to be served by very stessed staff. The food when we got it was... More

The Anchor head hotel was a great little hotel at the end of a victorian terrace style crescent small enough to be well run without crowds of people milling about in telly rooms and corridors looking lost. The meals were breakfast and dinner basis with a table number designated to you and a time of when you would be served... More
