My son and I have recently returned from a short break at the Anchor Head Hotel in Weston super Mare. This delightful hotel is owned by Alfa Travel, however we travelled by train rather than on their coach. The hotel is approximately 15 minute walk from the centre of Weston (although a fit person such as my son did it... More

We were members of an Alfa tour group. The staff were welcoming on arrival and all the rooms were sorted out and keys issued quickly and efficiently. We paid the extra for a sea view room and we were not disappointed by the view. The room was OK generally but a little small. We were over the bar but the... More

We stayed at the Anchor Head on a four night Summer mini break courtesy of Alfa Holidays. Let's start with the positives. The location of the hotel is quite picturesque, overlooking the sea and a pebble beach. The dining rooms, lounge and bars have wonderful views. The young staff in the dining rooms are attentive and polite. The two tours... More

Just returned from a long weekend at this hotel. Entertainment was not up to par on the Friday night, but Sundays was ok. The Hotel itself was good value for money. Meals were tasty but nothing fantastic (main Chef was apparently on holiday), nice hot plates and ample choice. Room comfy, poor wifi signal. Bar staff, reception staff and dining... More

Me and my Husband provided the entertainment for the guests on Friday night. First time at this hotel and we stayed overnight. We felt very comfortable and all of the staff were so friendly and accommodating - Janet is a really nice lady and her husband is very nice and we had a good chat and laugh. The reception staff,... We have always enjoyed holidays at the Leisureplex hotels but this one is really good. Clean and comfortable and the food was very good indeed, generous portions, hot and well cooked (even the plates were hot), exceptional for a 2* hotel. My husband found the steps into the hotel a bit of a bind with his stroller and I do... More

Stayed at the hotel end of April beginning of May. The room was spotless. Bathroom clean, shower brilliant. Bed very comfy. Dining staff pleasant. Breakfast tasty, good portion. Dinner, very nice. Entertainment not bad as it was the start of the season. It was a good walk along the prom to get to the town centre. Not good if your... More
