I have just returned from a very enjoyable 'Turkey and Tinsel' break at the New Birchfield Hotel. On arrival I was given the keys to a rather small tired dated bedroom which did not compare so well to some of the rooms which were allocated to my colleagues. Reception were very understanding and allocated me to a very nice large... More

Stayed at this hotel many times over the years and had good times - stayed with family in October .The weekend staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you. Our stay at the hotel was very good until checking out time on the Monday morning the Manager was so rude he came onto the coach looking for keys (he... More

The offer was three nights, breakfast, dinner, free bar and entertainment for £298.00. Reception was helpful and without fuss. No problem parking close to the entrance, and there is also ample space at the back of the hotel. Our room was comfortable, with a good bathroom and bed. There were ample power points if needed. I was able to log... More

Stayed at the hotel with the family, nice hotel, food good and most of the staff very friendly. However they clearly do not have a 'lost property' system. My daughter left a large bag containing a clutch bag and make up valued in the region of £200-00, and a beach towel. She left on the SUnday and discovered the loss... More

The Hotel requests that you put your reviews on Tripadvisor. Stayed at this hotel for a long weekend. Good position far enough away from the pier not to have the last night noise, but close enough to stroll along to the pier and town centre. The hotel is small (with a lift) rooms are on 4 floors, Food was generally... More

Booked a twin sea view room, got there to find we had a side view with a staircase looking straight onto the beds, got moved to a double sea view room, O K but small for 2, have seen larger rooms there. Food excellent, apart from fish on Friday, plenty of choice, waiter/ waitress service excellent. There is a free... More

Stayed here on a coach exclusive holiday for 4 nights with my son. Charming hotel and our room was homely and spacious. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good, especially the "Full English." Located by the seafront near the marina, a short 10-15 minute walk into the centre. Felt it was very good value for money, and... More

We normally stay in the New Ocean, but this time we were in the Birchfield their sister hotel, 100yards away . Although a little smaller everything was just as good. The rooms very comfy and the food excellent. Would definitely go back. Only problem was a small bath, no shower unit but gave us attachment for taps.
