Booked afternoon tea for our wedding anniversary as a treat.on arrival not a very warm welcome had to wait for someone to appear even after ringing the attention bell.got taken to a room with an open fire.very quaint & cosy.wouldn't say staff were attentive enough.we seemed to be forgotten about throughout our stay.other tables in room seemed to get attention.although... We are local to Banchory and have visited Raemoir House Hotel many times for birthday and anniversary meals over a number of years. We were there last night for my birthday dinner. The hotel was quite quiet for a Friday night but that's ok. It really is a beautiful house and the furnishings and surroundings make it feel quite a... More

Just back from a three night stay at the luxurious Raemoir House Hotel. Absolutely amazing! We stayed in the Raemoir room, a beautiful four poster bedroom with stunning views over the surrounding grounds, beautifully decorated and lovely and cosy. The bathroom was huge, with a gorgeous deep roll top bath and separate shower cubicle. The staff were so lovely and... More

Arrived on a quiet Monday afternoon for our afternoon for a 21st birthday. Greated at the door where someone put down some grit as it was lethal that day! Taken through to lounge where our afternoon tea was set out. Served very quickly by the waiter who asked for our tea orders. The sandwiches were well flavoured! Our tea got... More

You just have to try this place out, it was amazing. OK, we didn´t try the rooms as we went for afternoon tea but after meeting David and Kevin things got really interesting. Such great characters that made the place for us and the quality of the food was exceptionally high only matched by the intensity of the service we... More

I stayed at Raemoir recently as part of a larger group of 11 friends and family for a get together before Christmas. The hotel is magnificent, from the minute you turn off the main road up the long drive way you get the feeling it will be something special. The public areas are decorated and furnished in a way which... More

This Hotel is set in lovely grounds, nice and quiet and plenty of places for a walk. The house is very traditionally decorated with wonderful things to look at. Only toilet was upstairs which could be a disadvantage for many people but the toilet was so clean and luxurious! Service was very slow but we had a beautifully set table... More

Dear linzi50 Thank you for posting a review of your recent Raemoir experience, we all appreciate the comments. The toilets have been upstairs for longer than we have been here but there are plans afoot.... I am not sure when you were here, we have had some hugely busy nights and, as with any such business, we can be challenged... More

Came here for a huge family Reunion . The hotel is beautiful . The public rooms traditionally decorated . We had a large room to ourselves after use of the bar . Table was beautifully decorated . The food was wonderful . I would however like to have a bit more food as the portions were quite small. Still hungry... More

Here, in 1817, a branch of the Innes family, fresh from working in the City of London, built a splendid and suitable home that reflected their position : ownership of 4000 acres ,a park which they planted and embellished. Here they would live for five generations , lords of all they surveyed, Here they would read the newspaper ` The... More

Dear servabofidem35 Thank you for posting a review of your recent stay with us, it is fantastically eloquent. The helipad can seem a little incongruous however it is an intrinsically important part of the hotel, flying in those that prefer to retain their privacy as can be accommodated at Raemoir. I hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back... More

I don't think there's such a thing as the PERFECT hotel experience, there will always be the odd little glitch or hiccup but our stay at Raemoir is probably as close as we've come in the last five years. It's not cheap but, in value for money terms, it was very much everything we wanted. The food was excellent, the... More
