We booked the hotel as we were in town attending a wedding so we only really wanted a place to sleep. The rooms themselves are actually quite nice, they are clean and well sized (well ours was). They are actually a lot nicer than the reception and downstairs area which could do with a refurb although it's nothing awful, just... More

An old coaching house, you get the feeling of from walking through the door. Staff were friendly and helpful and some full of conversation which was nice after a 5 hour drive to get there. Working in Aberdeen, the drive in took about an hour which maybe too much for some...although quite nice along side the River Dee. Room was... More

Stayed here as it was reasonably priced and it was going to be somewhere to simply crash at the end of a night. I had pretty low expectations to be honest and was plesantly surprised with the room. It had clearly been recently modernised and was fresh, new and pretty sharp looking. The rest of the hotel needs brought up... More

We were a party of six staying in the area to attend the wedding of a close friend. There were various local hotels to chose from of various "star" ratings and prices. We decided to stay at the Burnett Arms, despite some of the occasional negative comments. You get them at most hotels! When we arrived at the hotel, having... More

We stayed in Four Best Western hotels over eight days touring the Lakes and Scotland we were very disappointed with the Burnett Arms even though the room was very good -the food and general condition of the hotel was poor even though we were charged around the going rate compared with the other very good hotels we had visited

Greeted by a large poster warning about pub violence, stepped inside to be met with a sign reminding staff to turn mobiles off and overjoyed to see another poster advertising a "high class disco" that evening in the cocktail bar (no cocktail menu but two more A3 posters reminding me not to misbehave). Reception full of pensioners enjoying discount high... More

Recently stayed here for five nights, to attend a wedding locally. Food was excellent, staff very friendly and excellent customer service. No request too much trouble. Well done Jackie and the team! If I have reason to travel that way again, I will certainly stay with you!

This hotel does not look much from out side. It's an old coaching house I believe. The rooms are comfortable, if small, but they have all the essentials. There are two points that make this my favourite hotel when up in the Aberdeen area. 1) It's not in Aberdeen City Centre and does not have the noise that some hotels... More

I stayed here on business on 3rd April 2013, I have abosolutely no complaints about the staff, who were really nice and the the room was adequate. I did not have any food, but it looked delicious and plentifull, I asked another guest and he said he stayed there regularly and had no complaints. The reason I have left a... More
