Our hostess welcomed us to the lovely B&B near Lanercost Abbey. Her flowers were beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower felt great after our second day of hiking. Dinner is offered and that made it nice to just stay there and relax for the evening. Breakfast was also very good.

Recent one night stay, room was spacious and immaculate with very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Ladies serving and cleaning were very friendly. My only comment is that I think £20 for dinner is well over priced. You do get 3 courses but the servings are small and the dishes simple and quite plain. I would like to have seen... More

A perfect stop on our Hadrian's Wall walk. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, double power shower. We pre booked dinner, this was a a beautiful experience, all the annex guests ate together, we enjoyed the company of 3 Australians and 5 Americans, a very tasty 3 course dinner, excellent service, very friendly staff. Very well run.

Abbey Bridge was the first stop on a 5 day trip along Hadrian's wall. We had an excellent room, with an extraordinary bed-head with electric power points to charge a phone, and LED spotlighting to read without disturbing your partner. The bed was very comfortable. We had a good dinner at the establishment, reasonably priced at £20 a head for... More

Stayed here whilst on Hadrian's wall walk as less than a mile from the trail. The house is gorgeous, shower worked perfectly (important after a day walking) and the room was spot on. I particularly like the console either side of the bed with power points and usb for charging the all important gadgets! Breakfast was very good, I can... More

I arrived at Abbey bridge b and b to a warm welcome off the owner, and was shown to my immaculately clean and spacious room. The building is beautiful and consists of the main house plus the building next door, which are situated in a fantastic location next to the River Irthing. There was a set three course meal served... Quaint little B&B with comfy but small rooms, good breakfast and great location for Hadrian's Wall and the Abbey. I would probably give a higher rating were it not for the slightly awkward reception we received when checking in. Due to our plans we arrived not long after the check in time and we made to feel like we were... More

We are sorry that you found your welcome slightly awkward. We pride ourselves on being friendly and helping people with their requirements. It's very difficult to remember a specific occurrence 6 months after the event, however we will take your comments on board.. More

Stayed here for one night while we hiked along Hadrian's Wall. The host was friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. Quick taxi ride into town if you want a pub meal or atm but also close to Lanercost Abbey for some history and also, important for us, close to the path we were hiking on.

My son and I stayed for 1 night whilst walking Hadrians Wall. We had a lovely room overlooking the old (and new) bridge. Tim arranged a taxi for us to Brampton and we ate in 1 of the pubs, we had no phone signal most of the previous day so were unable to book an evening meal at our accommodation.... More

I stayed here for one night on my recent walk of Hadrian's Wall. Very comfortable room, with a good sized ensuite, and a bed that gave me the best sleep of my trip. I was the only visitor that evening, so Tim drove me to a super pub in a fellside village for dinner, with the chef/landlord running me back.... More
