Stayed one night, Aug 2015. High quality accommodation, traditional styling. Set in fairly small but very well kept grounds. Quite a formal atmosphere, so perhaps not the most relaxing place, but very nice nonetheless.

A wonderful quiet hotel set in pleasant grounds. The owner was very welcoming and the room spacious and very comfortable. After a long hike and drive from Fort William this was the perfect stay. Dinner was delicious, the main course of duck was a real treat, the lemon tart "historic" and the cheese trolley bliss. I will return with my... More

We did not eat at the hotel because we were dining with friends at their home, but every other aspect of the hotel is very good. Some of the furniture and decor are a little worn, but the house is charming and the hospitality excellent. It is very good value.

We stayed at the Laundry Cottage which is in the grounds of Farlam Hall. It is beautifully done and with sheep all around and a stream running below it was a beautiful and peaceful place to be. It is so great to find a dog-friendly cottage that is also luxurious to stay in. It was a fantastic base for the... More

We returned to Farlam after a 13 year gap. It was odd, we were hoping that it had not changed, and whilst it hadn't, that in itself turned out to be a disappointment as we inevetibaly had! Sometimes it is best not to look back too fondly. Saturday evening in the restaurant was pleasantly lively. Excellent food, spoilt slightly by... More

We have just returned from a two night stay at Farlam Hall and I would like to return! The stand-out feature for me was the excellent service. Highly attentive - so attentive it could potentially be overwhelming but for the utterly charming way in which it is delivered. What is offered up is simply a completely relaxing and enjoyable experience.... More

We had a couple of nights here before Christmas and very much enjoyed the experience. As others reviewers say, the hotel is a bit old fashioned in decor, though the bathroom in our room (10) had been recently refurbished with up-to-date luxuries like a walk-in rainwater shower and jacuzzi bath. The food is very good, using flavoursome, high-quality ingredients. The... More

What a lovely find. We found this place on line and stayed a couple of weeks ago for two nights. Should have been longer and will be next time. Farlam hall is old fashioned in the nicest possible way. Old fashioned service, friendliness and attention to detail. Run by the same family for many years, they show a regard for... More

Breaking a journey from the south west to Scotland at the Farlam Hall was an oasis of calm and restful ambiance after battling through the motorway nightmare that is Gt Britain today. The welcome was warm and comfortably homely and my wife was extremely impressed by the neatness and cleanliness. The food, chosen earlier in the evening from a set... More
