My husband and I stayed here for one night as we walked Hadrian's Wall. We stayed in the upstairs room which was very comfortable with lovely views out over the fields. Our room had a large bed as well as a single bed with a trundle so it would be great for those traveling as a family with young children.... More

Vallum Barn is off the Hadrians Wall path but the trip is worth the effort. The hosts were very helpful in calling us a taxi and making reservations for dinner in town. The restaurant was great and the evening was complete with an eclipse of the moon.

We spent one night in this B&B while walking the Hadrian's Wall Path. The rooms are in a lovely old converted barn. Ours was large and very nicely decorated with a big en-suite bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed tea and biscuits when we arrived. There is also a large reading room available to guests with lots of... More

Lyn and her husband converted an old car barn into a great accommodation. There are only 2 rooms available, each with a double and single bed. The upstairs room has a bath, which if you have been walking Hadrians Wall Path is a nice touch. Both rooms are very comfortable, however the bed was a little soft for our liking.... More

We came across this guesthouse when we were hiking the Hadrian's Wall Path. We were the only guests here. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There is a nice guest lounge and breakfast was great! We especially liked the fresh fruit available with breakfast.

We were welcomed with a smile, then tea and biscuits - always acceptable after walking. Our hosts were unassuming but there for us if we needed them. They had lots of local information and the range of books provided in the lounge was pleasing. A good breakfast cooked and presented well. A little remote and away from the trail but... More

A beautifully converted barn provides well finished and furnished, spotlessly clean and large rooms, Modern en suite facilities are designed with the less mobile in mind.. Hearty breakfast was provided by an amiable host. It is very difficult to find fault with this establishment. Although it is somewhat remote now that the local pub has closed, our hosts easily organised... More

My husband and I stayed here one night while walking Hadrian's Wall. From the moment Lyn opened the front door I knew we were going to have a wonderful stay. The place was spotless and comfortable. There were lots of lovely little touches: we had a fantastic large room complete with not just a shower but a bath (always a... More

I stayed here with 3 friends in 2 twin rooms whilst undertaking the Hadrians Wall walk. It's not too far off the path itself and a lovely village. We were warmly welcomed with our bags having arrived safely from the transfer company and our downstairs room was huge with a great shower. The local pub serves excellent food and the... More

Our 4th stay here and a truly amazing place. The rooms were magnificent with all attention given to detail. The breakfast was fantastic, we didn't want for anything. We will definately be back. Thank you.
