We tour England for years and this was â deceiving stay. Room minimalist. Not one cup board...bedlinen not matching, Very low ceiling, at the entrance dying flower basket from last year. The only good point was the bathroom and the view. 100 pounds â night is overrated. What is happening with alastair Sawday guide?

I was most surprised and disappointed to read your review. This has been a shock to us since whilst you were here you really did appear to enjoy yourselves and did not give us the opportunity to know or to address your problems. We are sorry that you did not mention your issues whilst visiting since we could have arranged... More

It was such a pleasure staying at Harrod Fold Farm. The room was beautiful, with a breathtaking view into the vallew to Bolligton. The breakfast was a real treat and Sue a passionate host. We enjoyed the Cheshire countryside around us, with long walks accross the hills - first to Lyme Park and then down the valley to Bollington. The... More

Sue and family made us so welcome at Harrop Fold Farm. The room was excellent and luxurious - a room with many views across the western edges of the Peak District. Breakfast was scrumptious, very tasty, fresh ingredients either made on the farm or totally locally. The black pudding was probably the best I have ever tasted. Sue was an... More

From the very start our stay with Sue and Richard was first class. We were treated almost like long lost friends or family! The accommodation, food and location are all of a very high standard and the surrounding area is full of interesting walks. One of the best is from the farm to Lyme House about 4 miles away.

The wife was doing an art painting course two days at the farm with Michael Moore and so we stopped for two nights. I was a bit apprehensive as she is quite disabled after a stroke ten years ago. Whilst not being particularly disabled friendly Sue, Mike and Jackie did everything they could to assist her and we would certainly... More

What a wonderful location with fantastic views. A very warm welcome from Sue the owner who showed us to our very spacious room. Two comfy beds and a very large bathroom with lashings of hot water. Lovely tray of teas and coffee plus home made flapjacks, what more could we ask for? A wonderful two course breakfast in the morning,... More

Absolutely lovely stay! I'd been to Leah's Pantry for several courses before but had never stayed at the B&B until now. Great warm welcome from both Leah and her mum Sue. We took my mum and dad for a birthday celebration and attended one of Leah's demo and dine evenings. Both rooms we had at the B&B were really spacious,... More

Came here for the weekend for our wedding anniversary, and what a lovely stay it was! Although harrop farm was secluded with amazing views all around, it was only a short taxi away from Bollington centre. On the Friday evening Sue kindly dropped us in town with another couple who was staying there. Not the kind of service you usually... More

We stayed for two nights while visiting friends in Manchester and thoroughly enjoyed our stay once again. Sue and David made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible - David even gave us a lift to a restaurant in Bollington when we arrived exhausted (but that service doesn't come... We arrived in Harrop Fold Farm after a long drive and were greeted by the friendly proprietors and their dog. We stayed in two ground floor rooms in an old converted stone cowshed. As with many conversions of this type the windows are sparse. A shame really as the setting couldn’t have been more panaromic and beautiful. But the size... More
