Just returned from a 3 day break, highly recommended for accomadation and food. Staff very helpful. Very close to Goyt valley, a stunning area of beauty and with many N.T. properties within reach. A great base for touring or walking. Will return many times.

We have visited the Stanley Arms a few times and we've always had an excellent meal. The lamb cutlets are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Warm, cosy and a welcoming atmosphere every time. Highly recommended. Cannot wait to go back again soon.

My husband and I spend a relaxing 3 night break at the Stanley just before the Easter rush. The rooms were comfortable and cosy, the food was nice and fresh , and they serve proper chips not skinny oven chips. Not good for the waist line but plenty of places to walk it off.My husband being the driver appreciated being able to have... Visited Saturday 12th April 2014 and had a great meal and overnight stay. The Stanley Arms is well located on the edge of the Peak District with lovely views. The food served was excellent - both the evening meal and breakfast. The room (the Derby) was comfy and spotlessly clean. The staff were both efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend... Stayed for 2 nights having booked online. Very friendly welcome and the room (Clough Room) was lovely. Complimentary decanter of sherry was very nice. Meals in the pub were very high standard and the Breakfast excellent. Lots of nice walking nearby in Macclesfield forest and the Goyt Valley.

Our group stayed here in the barn, nicely converted and comfy rooms, staff were very helpful and understanding with our requests. Bar area is great with coal fires and very cosy atmosphere, the bar food was of a high standard, can reommend the roast pork sandwich, and a good selection of beers. The evening meal was tremendous, "bottom of the... More

My colleague and I have visited this Pub on regular ocassions over the years. This we try to do to sustain us when we are half way round our walks throughout the great coutryside nearby. The patrons, Carolyn and Adrian, have been in situe for many years and pride themselves on the quality of both the wide variety of food,... More

I went here for Sunday dinner after reading the reviews and would never go back. I ordered the roast dinner and the potatoes looked and tasted like they had forgotten to roast them. They were hard and not cooked at all! When the man who I took to be the landlord came to take my plate he asked if everything... More
