Second visit in 2 years, both for golf charity events. Everything perfectly organised from start to finish. The location is stunning and the golf course challenging enough for any player.Lovely hotel building, inside and out. The hotel is just changing from Barcelo to Puma but, apart from some minor fabric and road maintenance,it would be hard to improve on current... More

I stayed here on a business conference and found it to be an excellent venue. The location is superb, the leisure facilities are excellent and the hotel staff/management were very accommodating. Overall we all found it to be a superb conference venue. More

Have previously been to a wedding here and was really impressed so I recommended here to stay with 3 girlie friends in 2 twin rooms, for a spa weekend on special offer. Was good value for money, 2 mini treatments we had were amazing. we had 2 twin rooms, they were a bit on the small side, but did the... More

Only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer. Hotel had acres of character, room was spotless and leisure facilities (pool, sauna etc) were excellent and easy to use. Breakfast offered a great choice and hotel generally had a lovely busy but not overcrowded vibe to it. Lovely walking in the area. More

Booked a spa break with a group of friends. fantastic value for money in a wonderful location. The spa staff were attentive, organised and professional and the mini treatments were brilliant- great results using high quality products. The restauarant menu is exceptionally good- the selection and quality of food is much better quality than other more expensive restauarants I have... More

Reception Good apart from directions to our room. Both my wife and I are over 60 and while active we would have appreciated if we had been advised to drive around to the main hotel car park to unload our suitcases as that would be considerably closer and easier for us. The hotel is built on a hill side and... More

The hotel is very nice, but there are a few issues which could easily turn this supposed 4 star hotel into a real class act. First of all the private driveway leading up to the Hotel is like the surface of the Moon with all of the craters and potholes, please exercise caution or you may damage your vehicle badly.... More

We often use Shrigley when travelling back from family in Cheshire. It is a lovely stop over which we never tire of. The rooms are very comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is usually buffet style but if the hotel is not too busy it is cooked and brought to the table. The food is always of a good... More

I booked this via a third party site the first time we stayed for a DBB special offer, and for the price wasn't expecting anything super special. It was just a mother and daughter night away. As we pulled into the long drive leading up to the hotel, our mouths hung open at the beautiful building and grounds. we checked... More

Stayed here on a "girls' night in spa break" - had a lovely time but have the following comments: Service - excellent! All the staff were very attentive and helpful. Food - lovely meal on the Saturday night. I would say the Oakridge restaurant lacks a bit of atmosphere as this is also where you have breakfast and the buffet... More

Thank you very much for your review. I will certainly take on board your comments and use them to improve the standards at the hotel where we can. With regards to staff tips we do ensure these are all paid out fairly to the whole team through our payroll system on a six montly basis. Thank You Stuart Maxwell More
