Clean, friendly & quiet. Lovely breakfast - poached eggs were perfect. Small parking area available at the back and the room was warm and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room and plenty of sockets for chargers. One point though - bath rather than a shower in our room. Not a problem but worth a mention for reference... More

We arrived early evening, carpark full parked on street.Hotel all locked up rang bell and was greeted by I imagine the owner who was quite gruff and proceeded to complain that we had booked through a well known company and not directly. Just what we wanted after a very lengthy drive. We were given key and directed to room, up... More

I stayed here at very short notice because of adverse weather conditions. Room was clean and had tea/coffee making facilities. Ensuite was dated but functional. Breakfast excellent and filling. Owner friendly and helpful. Excellent location as close to the centre of Macclesfield. Quiet so got decent night's sleep

Having booked in advance, I knew to an extent that what I was getting was going to be a little bit on the budget side, but it still wasn't the most comfortable night's sleep I've had on my travels. The walls were very thin, and from being able to hear what my neighbours had on the television through to snoring... More

Now you're going to have to bear with me here as this goes on for a bit. If you do, you'll get take on the English trad B&B's v Travelodge/Premier Inn debate that might change the way you see the situation. Plus a take on English B&B's 2014. Ready? Terry and Majory Davison I suspect have seen and heard it... More

Arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a rude and patronising owner. I found this really insulting and not a great way to first introduce yourself. The rooms were very clean but basic and the decor was dated. Breakfast was lovely as was the lady serving it and the only saving grace. I had considered going to the Travelodge... More

One of the owners was rude and made us feel uncomfortable with his views. There was no shower in our room, only a bath, which is not practical at all! The room was very dated and definitely could have done with an upgrade. The hotel is in a good location and the breakfast was very good. Overall I wouldn't recommend... More
