We were staying at Shrigley Hall for Christmas and thought that we would have a walk to Bollington to see it there were any nice pubs and on the way we had a look around Pott Shrigley Church. Speaking to someone there we were told about this pub and how good that it was and that the prices were very... More

First impressions was a nice, warm, inviting, friendly pub. Staff were extremely friendly and could not do enough for you. Had a 3 course meal which was absolutely out of this world. Bar had a large selection of drinks, Stayed over for a night in a warm cosy room. Bed was really comfortable. Had a great sleep. No noise which... More

Bar Meals expensive and low grade, Rooms horrid , Breakfast good. Fire escape blocked with Bed and Soft Drinks. Very beligerant Bar Manager. Took my credit Card away from me and into the kitchen. This is a definite contravention of Merchant Trading(Card Transactions) rules

We look forward to coming here as we can catch the bus from home. It's a convenient place to meet a long term friend. The title of the review says a lot-there is usually a "pie of the day" on the menu (recommended by both my husband and our friend), there is an interesting specials board, with both the general... I spent one night in this small b&b. Nice place, but no flavour of a traditional British place, probably somehow a bit too commercial. They have a restaurant and probably too occupied to serve the customers. the breakfast is in the average. Not a special place, but after all not too bad either.

Once upon a time the service and food in this pub was good. So what happened ? Food average, service appalling, attitude from staff disgraceful, attitude from management unforgivable. This establishment has now clearly put profit before professionalism and customer service. The Management perhaps would benefit from a visit to a charm school or at least a course in ettiquet... We stayed here for one night whilst attending a family function in Hazel Grove. Our room was a small double. It was well laid out; had a comfortable bed and all the facilities you would expect and exactly as listed on the hotels.com website. We were greeted by friendly welcoming staff, had a good breakfast in the morning and if... More
