This B&B, like many in cities, is located in a large old row house. It is a lovely, well-maintained property. We had a big room with a view of the harbor from the large bay window. Service was excellent. There was a mix up in our booking, and our hostess made sure she figured it out and made us very... More

Attention to detail in furnishings and what a guest needs. Spacious bathroom with tub and shower. Bedroom has comfortable sitting chairs with a partial ocean view. The art work makes the home feel elegant and homey. The high ceilings are mansion like. Parking available. Dining area was spacious and elegant. Very efficient with delicious choices on the breakfast menu.

We stayed for 2 nights at Shelleven when we were in town for a friend's wedding. It was excellent and I highly recommend it. Firstly, the owners are incredibly friendly and hospitable. The place is spotless, beds comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious too - really plentiful! Very close to walk into Bangor and the pier. Great value for money.... More

Another fine stay at the Shelleven Wifi on this occasion was excellent . Room was quiet and comfortable , with plenty of heat provided during those cold spells. Breakfast the usual high standard with lots of choices. Till next time . No worries .

This was our first time in Northern Ireland. We stayed in a 4 star licensed guest house in Bangor. Philip and Mary took really good care of us and we felt like we were at home. Our room was very clean, comfortable and airy. We will definitely go there again!!

Stayed here on the 28th March as I was attending a reunion with Friends. And what a little gem. Phillip the owner was a real Gentleman and his Wife was so helpful and kind. The room was spotlessly clean and a wonderful en-suite. I was out most of the night so the bed was a blessing when I got back.... More

Alas, the wifi is poor to non existent at best . Owners fail to recognise what a necessity good wifi is to today's traveller. Certainly the place is clean and the food good , come on Philip & Mary quit resting on your laurels and up your game.
