Beautiful view and amazing hospitality. Food was delicious! We stayed at castles, hotels and B&B's (6 places in total) and this place was our favourite! Rooms are big, clean and comfortable! You are right across the street from a park and the water. Location is great and you can watch the sunset from your room or from a walk along... More

Wonderful b&b with Starfish cafe. Very friendly family hosts in a stunning part of seaside Bangor. Beautiful view of the sea and yachting area. Charming period house with gardens. 3 rooms to choose from to have breakfast, lunch or coffee as a walk-in. A fabulous addition to the choice of places to meet friends and enjoy the healthy and tasty... More

Stayed at this B & B for 1 night whilst working in Bangor. It is in a great location overlooking the bay, very clean with a collection of different types of furnishings, which all fit together as if they were made for each other. Warm welcome from Chris who gave up some "local knowledge" on good places to eat and... More

This is a fantastic guest house with Chris and Jenny being wonderful hosts. With a really relaxed feel, nothing is too much trouble and the breakfasts are unusual but superb. You will not be disappointed with the location or the quality of this beautiful guest house. Don't bother with a hotel...this is so much better!

We had an amazing stay. This home is absolutely Beautiful! Very clean, well presented, amazing food, great location and very friendly staff. My Husband is a Coeliac, this was no trouble to the owners. We will most definately return. The Lungley family

I was very disappointed in Cairn Bay Lodge. In my opinion the room did not reflect what I had viewed on their web site. It was very cold, no extra blanket available, no facecloths and it was musty smelling and dusty with stained linens. If anyone has allergies to dust or perfume this is not the place to stay. When... Dear Mr and Mrs Ellison, We are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. We are at a loss to understand how you feel that the room did not reflect what you saw on the website. It is the room you booked with us and is exactly as it appears on the website. At this time... More

Not often that I feel compelled to write a review on a business but following today's visit to the starfish Cafe (part of Bangor's premier B&B Cairn Bay Lodge) it would be remiss of me not to. This is an absolute hidden gem in Bangor located just beyond Ballyholme Yacht Club. These pics don't do it justice as in addition... More

Stayed for 4 nights in late June. The family room/suite was great. Plenty of space and well priced. The bedding and towels were good quality and the staff were friendly and helpful. This place is just outside Bangor and right on the seafront. Great for morning walks along the coast and fresh air in abundance. The breakfast was superb, using... More

Lovely B&B with two premier rooms overlooking Ballyholme Bay. Jenny and Chris are very welcoming. About 5 minutes walk to Bangor. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. The Tiger and the Sally Duck were two of the best. We stayed 8 nights and the rooms were kept very clean with a good change of towels and sheets. Kettles in the rooms... More

We stayed there last July, it's a very nice place to stay with a great breakfast. One problem we were over charged on the rate we had agreed and this rate was confirmed in an email from the owners. When we followed up we receive no reply to our correspondence. Poor customer relations, would not stay again.
