Spectacular room, great breakfasts, nice personal touches that exceeded our expectations. We started our week in Ireland with two nights at Cairn Bay Lodge, and there's no better place to stay in Bangor.

A sea view from a very spacious room with loads of storage and a beautiful bathroom. The towels and bed linen of excellent quality and the breakfasts sumptuous. So good in June we are doing a return visit in September.

Stayed over the weekend and we had a fantastic time in Cairn Bay Lodge. Our room was brill , great decor - really charming and quirky , everything was clean and the room was really spacious. The breakfast was fantastic , great selection of fruits/yoghurt/juices and the cooked meal options was delicious. The service was great with a variety of... More

We stayed in this B&B as attending a wedding nearby. We were able to check in early & return to the wedding & were made feel very welcome from arrival. The rooms was fresh, spacious & very well equipped. The house itself is just gorgeous & the gardens were a pleasure to walk around after breakfast the next morning. Breakfast... More

We had a seaside view that was just stunning! Jenny and Chris are amazing hosts and the food was delicious. We had so much fun touring all of Northern Ireland with the Lodge being our homebase. We wish we could have stayed longer. Bonnie and Clyde will be in our hearts forever and we hope someday to see this place... More

Superb location on the seafront at Ballyholme & walking distance to the sailing club & several good bars & restaurants (book restaurants in advance on the weekends). The decor is stunning old world wood panel & the gardens really nice too. Rooms are quite big with good size ensuites. Shower pressure no great but this is the only gripe with... More

This B&B was booked for me on a short try to Bangor with my daughter and her family. They had a family suite with plenty of room for the kids and I had an adjacent room at the top of this beautiful (1920's?) house with an extensive garden. The service and hospitality were excellent as was the delicious breakfast with... More

The B&B is perfectly situated on Ballyholme Bay, within easy walking distance of multiple restaurants and pubs. It is a great place to just walk around the promenade. The house and garden are beautiful and beautifully maintained. The rooms are all beautiful. We had the Ballyholme room and it face the front and is large, comfortable and the bathroom is... More

I live locally to the Cairn Bay Lodge so have never stayed over. Saying that the owners were kind enough to offer a tour & the rooms, views, styling, decor etc are all just fabulous. The reason I decided to post a review is to tell potential customers about the breakfast. We have had family breakfasts here quite a few... More

We were thrilled to find out that the Giro d'Italia was coming to Northern Ireland, not least because it gave us an excuse to visit this wonderful part of the world with the most friendly people and of course the opportunity to revisit our favourite B&B. We stayed in a room overlooking the sea this time and it was everything... More
