We stayed in the lodge for 2 nights. Beautiful stylish house, on a quite spot near the beach and at walking distance from several restaurants. The house has a unique atmosphere with lots of quaint objects which creates a wonderful atmosphere. Breakfast is one of the best we had during our 3-week stay in Ireland and North Ireland. Certainly recommended.

Very nice B&B with very affable owner. The house is very well kept and in excellent order although a little "fussy" for my tastes. Great private parking and easy access to the centre on Bangor . Individually cooked breakfast in a colonial style dining room was very welcome . Although it was August it was a little chilly and the... More

Spectacular room, great breakfasts, nice personal touches that exceeded our expectations. We started our week in Ireland with two nights at Cairn Bay Lodge, and there's no better place to stay in Bangor.

A sea view from a very spacious room with loads of storage and a beautiful bathroom. The towels and bed linen of excellent quality and the breakfasts sumptuous. So good in June we are doing a return visit in September.

We stayed in this B&B as attending a wedding nearby. We were able to check in early & return to the wedding & were made feel very welcome from arrival. The rooms was fresh, spacious & very well equipped. The house itself is just gorgeous & the gardens were a pleasure to walk around after breakfast the next morning. Breakfast... More

We had a seaside view that was just stunning! Jenny and Chris are amazing hosts and the food was delicious. We had so much fun touring all of Northern Ireland with the Lodge being our homebase. We wish we could have stayed longer. Bonnie and Clyde will be in our hearts forever and we hope someday to see this place... More

Superb location on the seafront at Ballyholme & walking distance to the sailing club & several good bars & restaurants (book restaurants in advance on the weekends). The decor is stunning old world wood panel & the gardens really nice too. Rooms are quite big with good size ensuites. Shower pressure no great but this is the only gripe with... More

This B&B was booked for me on a short try to Bangor with my daughter and her family. They had a family suite with plenty of room for the kids and I had an adjacent room at the top of this beautiful (1920's?) house with an extensive garden. The service and hospitality were excellent as was the delicious breakfast with... More
