My husband and I visited the Salty Dog for breakfast. My husband had the Big Dog which is a full fry with everything on it. Beautifully made and presented. I had eggs Benedict which is my favourite, absolutely gorgeous. We also had coffee and toast and refills of coffee. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, they make you feel very... More

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend with our two dogs (wheaten terrier and cairn terrier). When we booked, the receptionist was extremely helpful, taking great care to explain the various options and the packages that were available. We ended up choosing the break on the bay package, this included 1 evening meal and afternoon tea. When... More

This restaurant has a super position on the seafront and is very inviting , we found it on a welcome dogs web page . The staff were fantastic and the restaurant clean ,warm and full of atmosphere . However the food was just barely ok ! Two of us had the chicken goujons the other the scotch egg . Everything... More

Stayed here for a night over the new year. It was fab. It was a little gem. Our room was huge and very clean and comfortable. It was reasonably priced with a fantastic breakfast. The bar is great. We didn't have dinner so I can't say if it was nice or not but there were a lot of people coming... More

This is the second time we have spent Christmas here as a family whilst visiting my mum, and it was just as good as ever. I was a bit disappointed when we did not initially have the same room as the last time but thanks to Mandy who clearly reads between the lines and understands customer service, she had offered... We eat at this bistro fairly often, and it is consistently good. Well sourced local produce, a chef who is obviously interested in trying new recipes, and friendly staff make for a pleasant experience. Delighted to find that dogs are welcome in the bar area, as this is a beautifully situated place, on the seafront, so a perfect destination for... More

Fabulous restaurant with super, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Always great choices, lovely atmosphere and, most importantly, delicious food of exceptionally high quality, at very reasonable prices! Highly recommend a visit!! PS Have never stayed, but have been shown the sea view rooms ......... fabulous! On our agenda!

Stayed here last week and were given an excellent room with a lovely view of the harbour. We had dinner in the restaurant and although the choice was limited as it was a Sunday there was still plenty to choose from. The food is local, beautifully presented and prepared and the portions were generous to say the least! The staff... More

This is an excellent restaurant with a great atmosphere and ambience. The food was top quality, especially enjoyed the muscles, and all locally sourced. The service was fast and friendly and I would definitely go back.

Food was nothing special and very limited vegetarian choice which was not part of the specials or the Sunday menu. Busy bright restaurant area with friendly a service from attentive staff. But disappointing if you aren't a meat eater, Ll the d als are for flesh
