A Victorian style building situated next to the seafront just a short walk from Bangor Marina. Stayed in en-suite it was very well equipped. The breakfast in the morning was very good and Pauline was on hand to attend to all our needs and offer plenty of advise about places to visit. Their is plenty of good restaurants and pubs... More

We loved our stay at the Hargreaves house. We booked kind of late so we took the smaller room in the house and fit my husband, self and our 18 month old's porta crib in the room and we all fit fine. Our host was beyond friendly and helpful with planning our day trip to Giant's Causeway.

Hi Thank you for taking the time to comment on your two day stay with us. Glad you liked the day trip to the Causeway - we visited the new centre up there ourselves recently and had a good look around to enable us to recommend (or not) the various places in the viscinity. Hargreaves house is situated in my favourite part of Bangor with the wide expanse of sea directly in front of it. Parking adjacent is free and was always available. My room was lovely and well appointed and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast is fresh, copious, made to order - and presented beautifully. The best part of the stay was Pauline... More

We stayed at Hargreaves House recently and we were impressed by the location - facing the busy sea route towards Belfast which means there is always something to see. The en-suite room was spotless and thoughtfully equipped. The bathroom was spacious, the bed was first class and breakfast was excellent. But what really sets this B&B apart is the hostess.... More

I am glad you were comfortable whilst you were with us - perhaps you will pay us another visit in the not too distant future? There are still a lot of places to visit whenever you have the time... Great location for access to Belfast via commuter rail, very clean, comfortable king size bed, warm and welcoming host, and free (and safe) on street parking. Hargreaves House is definitely a B&B that travelers will love. Pauline (the host) is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the local area (including areas south of Bangor that are interesting to tour) and seems... More

Great location, next to the water and within walking distance to town. The proprietor is very helpful with suggestions and local advice, and the breakfast was exceptional. We were not that impressed with the room - while functional and comfortable, the carpet was aging and the furnishings were of average quality. It would have been nice to have stands to... More

Thank you for your comments - most of which were very positive - especially those about the breakfast. I don't really understand the scoring for cleanliness as every room is thoroughly cleaned before each new customer. Regarding the comments about the carpet - it is only 3 years old and 100% wool but obviously the beige colour was a bad... More

This is a classic B&B across the street from the seashore in a cute harbor town. It is a 20 minute train ride from Belfast and the Titanic Experience.
