I found this place by accident - and I'm glad I did! Its been fully revamped and for the better. The rooms are superb, clean and modern and hard to pick fault in - if there was one it would be take a room off the main street up the middle as noise can be bad from the boy racers... More

went for dinner with friends to celebrate new grandchild, somewhat surprised to be seated almost connecting with a party of around a dozen girls[ the waitress could just squeeze between us]. Because of this we were so overwhelmed by the girls talking we could hardly hear ourselves talking. The whole restaurant was packed[ possibly overpacked] We arrived at 6.30 and... More

I went for high tea with my husband and son for the first time, wish now we got a chippy. It took a very long time to get served, after we were finally served, we got our toast. We wouldn't have minded the wait had it been busy, but it wasn't. Our main course arrived after 45 mins and it... More

Very surprised at the cost of Christmas lunch, especially when we were offered Christmas lunch at Nick Nairn's restaurant in the Hilton Garden Inn for less! On previous visits, we had been very underwhelmed by the quality of the food and service compared to how it used to be. It is a great shame to see what used to be... More

We stayed for one night whilst travelling. It wasn't cheap. The host showed us to a room he said would be quiet, and it was. The room had been newly renovated and was nicely detailed. The bathroom was cold, but apparently there is some heating the host had Forgotten to tell us about. The breakfast was good, except my coffee... More

For many years since the late great Sandy Warrender owned and ran this quaint old hotel the beating heart of bon hommie and good food has been sadly missing... Until now ! Current owner Ron Beedie (who doubles up as Fireman Ron) and his family have transformed this iconic old building into a beautifully modern and tasty establishment. The new... More

I don't suppose anywhere in reach of Aberdeen ,Peterhead and the oil industry is cheap. We had a very nice room in a refurbished part of the hotel. We were visiting relatives in the area at short notice and I have to confess this was not the first choice but we had a very satisfactory stay. We had dinner and... More

Stayed here for 2 nights & enjoyed our stay - although near the centre of Ellon it was very quiet & the hotel had free parking across the road. The staff were all pleasant & helpful & the room, although fairly small was spotless & comfortable. We did not dine at the hotel but the breakfasts were very good. We... More
