The Pen has just had a refurb and it looks really good inside and out . Good selection of roasts and other lunches . Food very well presented and very tasty . Restaurant very comfortable and a table by the window makes for a wonderful outlook , even on a wild and wet Sunday . One drawback ... No loos... More

We stayed in room 3 which is a deluxe room, it has good views across the bay, the sea is only a few yard away across the road, We took our little dog Max who was able to stay in our room, and he loved been made a fuss off by the lovely staff and was always getting a treat... More

Everything about Penhelig Arms is pure class. We stayed for 2 nights, on a fantasic value Travelzoo deal. We updated to a suite (Penhelig House), and it was worth every penny. The suite was 5 star quality, comfortable, spotlessly clean, very private, and with a fabulous sea view. The breakfasts are delicious...good choices, and beautifully prepared (try the Eggs Benedict)!... More

Stayed at the Penhellig for two nights on a Travel Zoo offer, I couldn't fault it everything from the comfortable refurbished rooms, the cosy bar and the restaurant were all top notch. The breakfast choice was vast and we all ordered something different and our group enjoyed every last mouthful from Full welsh breakfast to Eggs Benedict, kippers and smoked... More

First Impressions The Penhelig Arms is located on the seafront in the gorgeous little hamlet of Aberdyfi with great views over the estuary. The pub’s traditional looks are very in keeping and the rooms in the cottage were modern and spacious. The Rooms Facilities & Restaurants. I stayed in the cottage that is located on the high ground at the... More

A January day, cold, raining, windy - and wrapped up well, walking on the beach with the kids and the dog. Absolutely fantastic. Then back to the lovely, warm, cosy and friendly Penhelig. We stayed in the apartments at the rear, called Bodhelig. A large room with a lovely bathroom accommodated the four of us (plus dog) easily. The pub... More

We booked a table in the restaurant for six people on New Year's Eve. We were unsure regarding the New Year's Eve menu as there was no mention of a different menu on their website. We assumed that it may have just been a festive type menu or the bar menu. When we arrived, we were taken to our table... More

The weather had been dreadful so altho we had comfy accommodation in MF we cut it short so we could spoil ourselves here. Our room was extremely... More
