Bought a night away with glass of prosseco from groupon, £49 it was worth it, we were upgraded to a garden view. Hotel is in beautiful grounds, and very traditional, service excellent, family ran, and proud. Ate in the restaurant on the evening, food very good, wines excellent and service great too. Totally recommend a little break away in the... More

Unfortunately we only had chance to check in to our room before travelling to a concert so we did not get to experience the food or drink. The hotel was lovely, plenty of character. The room was not what we were expecting but we were only there for one night. Very comfortable beds, we had a brilliant nights rest, just... More

Spent two nights bandb and upgraded to a garden view room. This is an attractive manor style building with good sized accommodation which has been sympathetically decorated and furnished. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night and enjoyed an excellent meal. Breakfasts were equally good, freshly cooked to order. The staff were very friendly and attentive and... More

Stayed on a 'special deal' for bed, breakfast and evening meal. The hotel is very traditional and full of character. We upgraded to a Garden Room. Although the room was a little tired, it was clean and comfortable. The evening meal was really nice, with a good selection on the menu to choose from. The restaurant has been updated and... More

My wife and I visited this Hotel for a lunchtime Carvery as a gift on `Groupon`, so therefore, cannot remark on the state of the rooms. The meal was outstanding! Best roast dinner I have had outside of my house of course! The Staff member, Alan, was very friendly and helpful. All of the Staff that we spoke to were... More

First of all, if you book this hotel for afternoon tea through Groupon be careful not to confuse it with Hardwick Hall in Sedgefield, a very common occurrence we were told by both hotels after making the mistake. I went with my daughter in law and baby grand daughter. The guys on reception were friendly and polite and we were... More

I paid for afternoon tea through 'Groupon ' for our wedding anniversary & decided to stay overnight . When I 'phoned to book I was assured we would be booked in to a ' superior ' room , as I happened to mention our wedding anniversary . On arriving , we were told we didn't have superior room, that was... More

We booked for Afternoon Tea and arrived at the Hotel in lovely sunshine. Being slightly early we sat outside and enjoyed a very pleasant few minutes in the sun. The building looked really nice and once inside the place was very nicely decorated and very clean. We sat down in one of the rooms and served a very nice typical... More

Stayed here for 1 night on a voucher deal. We had a lovely huge family room inc breakfast for only £59. The family room is very good with bunk beds in a separate little room. They have a great little bar menu if you need a snack later and the breakfast was very good. Very friendly staff will definitely return.
