Took my mum here for an afternoon tea treat using a Groupon offer. Offer was £19 instead of £50, however, there was a leaflet on our table advertising events over the next few months and this included afternoon tea for £19. So the Groupon wasn't really an offer. I definitely wouldn't pay the supposed £50 for it but £19 wasn't... More

We booked this hotel for a one night discount stop. What a find! The hotel is wonderful, spotless and staff really first class. Our room was up quite a few stairs but staff ferried our cases for us without any problems. Food was magnificent. Would certainly stop again even paying full price!

A great night spent here, we had a meal there, I had a huge Calzone and it was tasty if a little plain. The staff went out of their way to help..I like a spicey sauce over my calzone and it didn't come with a sauce...the waiter done his best to get me a sauce even if it was a... More

dated bedrooms but spotlessly clean, comfortable and looks like undergoing refurb. Beautiful food and good service at evening meal. Good value for money. Looks like a great wedding venue. Dogs are allowed in the bedroom for an extra £10, but it is a problem that there is nowhere at all they can be with you inside while you eat. All... More

This hotel is in a beautiful setting of mature trees surrounding neat lawns and flower beds. We were warmly welcomed. As I was unable to get up the stairs to the standard room we had booked, we were offered a superior room at no extra charge. Although the hotel was busy and we had the windows wide open it was... Excellent value for money. A very well run hotel with first class staff both friendly and helpful. The bedroom which we upgraded to for an extra £10 per night, was large clean with a well equipped en suite. The upgrade gave us very pleasant views over the front lawns. The hotel was too far to walk to other eating establishments,... More

We booked this hotel on a special wowcher promotion, £59 for two adults B&B in a superior room, the room no8 was recently decorated very spacious and comfortable, only downside it is in the eaves so a little dark but very quiet with a lovely view to the side garden area. We had a drink in the bar which is... More

We called the hotel before booking a wowcher voucher to check suitability as I'm in a wheelchair. Unfortunately it's a grade two listed building so has now lift and all the ground rooms were taken and there is rather a lot of stairs to climb to the first floor. Te gentleman who answered the call tried his hardest to help... More

After booking with Groupon and finding the hotel easily, we were greeted by a friendly reception and given keys to our room. The room was nice, but a little dated. Had a drink from the quaint old fashioned bar and sat infront of the beautiful old building dating back over 600 yrs old, we were informed when I asked. Breakfast... More

Was a extremely poor afternoon tea! Paid £19 through groupon and would rather have gone for a pub meal! Champagne was nice along with the trifle. Sandwiches were very plain an unappetising. There was 2 fruit scones that were hard - very disappointed!! Staff were friendly and building very well maintained and pretty.
