Friendly service and perfectly adequate for a few days stay. The room was clean and the breakfast was good, although note you have to fill in a card the night before saying what you'd like. The lady managing the place is friendly and I'd have no hesitation in reccomending this guest house.

Very pleasant overnight stay, our room was a perfectly adequate size for a couple and the bed was comfortable. The shower in our room was pretty poor, there was also no hair drier, the television was very small. The breakfast was pretty good and the young lady on duty was very nice. I think the price paid is very fair and... More

Pluses: comfortable beds, clean rooms, quiet road, plenty of choice for breakfasts, friendly atmosphere, guests' individual food preferences noted, 5 mins walk from Greensward and beach, even shorter to shops in Connaught Ave. Paintings for sale. Not quite so plus: mini fridge would be useful addition. Frinton itself does not have a wide range of establishments serving evening meals. This... More

No special surprises here, either positive or negative. Warm welcome, and entirely comfortable stay. A densely converted house with quite a lot of B and B rooms. We had a 'family' room in the the attic i.e double bed and 2 bunks, for one night. And a view of the sea from the skylight! There were only two of us... More

We booked for one night for a seaside getaway. Our rooms (we booked a double and a twin) were clean and comfortable with TV, mini fridge (very handy for children's milk if a tad noisy) and decent bathrooms. A nice touch - outside the rooms and accessible to all guests, a nice bathroom fitted with bath and loo for those... More

Welcomed with a warm friendly smile! Comfortable, clean rooms and a fantastic cooked breakfast with great coffee! We had a lovely weekend and we wouldn't hesitate to book Uplands Guesthouse again when visiting my family! :-)

The very nice owner Pam, offered more toast , tea and orange juice if required but as the breakfast was quite filling we never needed extra. The room... More

We booked a family room at this place, having specified 1 adult and 2 children. We got there to find a shabby room with a double bed and an even more shabby camp bed! Bear in mind that the website we booked through (Hotels Combined) showed a picture of a half reasonable looking family room with a double bed and... More

A thoroughly enjoyable stay. The owners were cheerful and helpful and the room was tidy and clean. The Full English breakfast was perfect and just sealed the stay. I would certainly recommend this B & B to anyone who wants to experience the traditional Bed & Breakfast at its best.

Room was small (no desk or table) bathroom had no bath (only a shower) and the shower was too short for me to fit under (I'm not tall at only just 6ft), breakfast was ok but nothing special. Was acceptable (just) for two night stay but would not have wanted to stay any longer and will look elsewhere next time... More
