I was a little apprehensive about staying here, having read previous reviews, but it was actually OK. I probably wouldn't stay here again as I think I could get much better value for money. I was offered a biscuit on arrival by a friendly receptionist (I did not have to pay on arrival), before making my way up to my... More

The hotel is over priced for the standard. There is very little choice in Sevenoaks so they can get away with it. Payment taken on arrival which is unusual. My room was over the bar and the music did not go off until 5.30 am - also very noisy along the corridors and shabby. The rooms away from the main... More

Stayed for 1 night in November. Full payment taken up front upon arrival. Booked an executive room, given a family room with heavily stained carpets and marks up the walls...to top it all no central heating or hot water whatsoever. Complained on the hotels own website, didn't even get a reply, although the email has been read. This was a... More

Stayed for one night on what seemed to be the busiest night of the year for them due to the many xmas parties going on. Room was pretty shabby and very dated. Beds very uncomfortable. When we ordered food we were told 30 min delay which was fine with us. After an hour we asked how long it would be... More

My husband and I stayed for 1night here on 29th November following a wedding. We were booked into an executive room which isn't in the main hotel. The room wad a very good size, as was the bathroom.I did notice that the radiators were Luke warm, and there were no thermastats in the room to make it warmer. However, as it was only... We stayed at the royal oak a couple weeks back and we were given a suite - one of the newly refurbished rooms. I must say, from reading the reviews, I was a bit skeptical... However, the new rooms were very nicely done, modern and clean. Service was quick and good! Overall, not an amazing or jaw dropping hotel, but... More

Nice look from outside, started some sort of decorating in the public rooms looking very late 90s, but when it comes to the rooms... We stayed in a smoker's room filled up with mismatching furniture from the last decades which mostle were damaged. Particularly the bathroom was waiting for a proper revamp, Probably since the 60s, too many cracked and... More

Not a bad little hotel. Nice rooms. If you get a room in the main building it can be a bit noisy from the main road. If you have a room out the back (room 300 I was in) Its a big room king size bed plenty space chairs tables nice TV. (a few bulbs out) Great staff. They area... More

Booked an exec king, got... a small tired room in desperate need of a redec, carpets I hesitated to walk on with bare feet, no hot water in the morning, and continental breakfast supplies flagging by 9:30. Am amazed that in such a affluent area the only hotel on offer is this poor.

I came to Sevenoaks for business from Bournemouth, this was my first visit to such a wonderful and enchanting town. With that said I was booked into a hotel by my company and unfortunately there was a mix up with my accommodation but with luck on my side and an extremely helpful receptionist, the problem was eradicated and I was...
