Amazing Hotel would highly recommend. My wife and I stayed 3 nights over Easter in the Gate house a lovely suit of rooms .Staff could not have been more helpful. The hotel is is in an 16th century manor and the old features that have been incorporated into the hotel have been very well done

We staying at this hotel last year 2014 in March while visiting a conference nearby, we were so impressed by this charming hotel, that upon our return we immediately booked the hotel again for the following year for our 2015 conference meeting. However I must say that the standards have dropped in regards to the staff. My wife has asthma... More

We chose the more "modern" room instead of the older room with 4 poster bed as shown on their website. Room looked tired so I cannot imagine the older room. Cannot recall much about the room as I did not take picture of it. Normally I would if it is a nice room. Staffs are not particularly outstanding or friendly... More

Organized our annual reunion weekend here for 20+ people. Setting is lovely and our group was blown away by the whole aspect. Planned over a year and dealt with a number of managers but all went very smoothly on the weekend. Had private dining room arrangements with lovely food served by helpful and friendly staff who looked after us on... More

Excellent food. Very good service. Couldn't have looked after us better. Reasonable price for the food which included eating in a private room (Cellar vault). Lovely surroundings. Beware that sat nav may take you to the ski slope.

The hotel location is ideal for walkers wishing to access the Silkin Way, the Ironbridge Way and the Severn Valley Way. It is also in an excellent location for all the attractions of the Ironbridge trust. We stayed on a room only basis as we felt the cost of breakfast was much too high. The hotel is popular for weddings... More

Very interesting group of old buildings, including the main 16th-century manor house, gatehouse and mill, supplemented by some sympathetically-designed modern outbuildings. Attractive lakeside setting in its own grounds, all now a bit lost in the Madeley suburb of Telford, but well placed for the heritage attractions of Ironbridge, Coalbrookdale, Coalport and Jackfield. Food and drink selection par for the course... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in the summer whilst visiting family in the area. We were both very pleased with our room, it was large, clean and well kept. The hotel itself is lovely, and the grounds are beautiful. During our stay there was a wedding on, which made it impossible to sleep. The music was... More

I'm currently stay in room 26 and its a terrible experience for me! I have fly all the way from HK to experience a historical week in this hotel and thus I have booked a historical room with an extra GBP 1000 for 5 days stay than a normal room and specifically request an old style room in my booking...
