I have recently stayed at the Morecambe Bay Hotel for 7 weeks while working in the area. Even though the hotel is still undergoing so much needed refurbishment after recently reopening the staff must be highly praised for their friendly, warm and excellent service. The breakfast is excellant, rooms comfortable with good facilities (bathrooms could do with updating), the bar... More

Our party of 6 went to the Hotel last evening to celebrate a friends birthday. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The price of the drinks at the bar was very reasonable. The menu in the restaurant was basic but we all found something that we liked and the meals were well cooked and very... More

Stayed here for two nights. After reading the reviews on tripadvisor about this hotel, thought we would be quite comfortable here. How wrong was I. Maybe there is refurbishment going on, but general impressions when we entered the hotel were not good. No reception desk. Worse was to come - the room. I have slept in single rooms with more... We booked a family room as a base for a two night stay while we attended a wedding. The room was clean and comfortable and warm (important as it was one of the coldest weekends of the winter). The manager and staff were friendly and more than helpful and the position of the on the sea front and close proximity... More

Our party called in this evening for dinner, we thought we would support a new local business. When we arrived (5 of us ) the chef (really??.) was sitting at a table looking really peed off, and appeared even more peed off when we asked for a table and the menu!! We had not been in before and asked where... More

We were invited to a party in Morecambe and decided to stay overnight rather than drive home. We booked the room the day before our stay. The hotel is undergoing improvements and will in the future will be an excellent place to stay. Currently there is no reception desk and we had to wander through the bar to check in,... More

As one of the party in the previous review I can only echo what has already been said other than, to amend the review of the mushroom stroganoff which the recipient said was nice out of politeness but actually found it to be several stars below a £1 super market ready meal. I would also describe the place more like... More

We booked at The Morecambe Bay Hotel for my 40th birthday meal on the basis of a write up in the Local Choice magazine. We rang and specifically asked to book for the early bird dinner option (2 main courses for £10) and explained that amongst our party we had a vegetarian and a gluten free diet to be catered...
