Friendly staff and good location, but in dire need of an overhaul, which is in all fairness being addressed slowly. The first room we were allocated smelled of stale tobacco ... ugh ! However the receptionist was very helpful and found us another room. Although this room was clean, the toilet seat was broken, curtain hanging off,no hot water in... More

Comfy hotel still in need of a bit updating which is being done at the moment. Booked e sea view which was nice. Lovely and clean and breakfast nice apart from my husband did not enjoy the morning coffee which I suppose is personal choice.Would stay again.

After searching online for somewhere cheap and clean to stay for a night, I found this hotels website. At first glance it looked fabulous. But..... be warned...... the rooms shown on the website aren't what you'll get when you arrive! We had a family Seaview room. It was absolutely tiny. We were assured there would be plenty of room for... More

We booked in to stay for one night here. On arrival there was no reception and were greeted by the managements children I believe. We checked in at the bar and found our twin room to be in a poor state. The en suite was damp smelling, 70's style olive green and dated decor. The room was very small also the... More

We booked into the Hotel for one night in the middle of ongoing improvements to the building after just reopening. The owner was very friendly as were the staff, bedroom could have done with a refurb but will probably get one in the near future. We slept ok & the breakfast was nice. All in all a typical Morcambe or... More

I found the property via a late booking website. I just wanted a cheap, clean and cheerful place to rest my head whilst I visited Morecambe to see my football team (Shrewsbury Town) play at the Globe Arena. I wasn't disappointed. The welcome I received on arrival was friendly. The room equipped and spotless. The bar (although it had no... More

At least the Morecambe Bay is cheap, and cleanish. We had an 8th (rough estimation) of toilet roll for 2 adults for 2 days so bowel movements must be kept to a minimum. The room is from 1965 and i am sure it was fashionable then. Now not so much.

I have recently stayed at the Morecambe Bay Hotel for 7 weeks while working in the area. Even though the hotel is still undergoing so much needed refurbishment after recently reopening the staff must be highly praised for their friendly, warm and excellent service. The breakfast is excellant, rooms comfortable with good facilities (bathrooms could do with updating), the bar... More

Our party of 6 went to the Hotel last evening to celebrate a friends birthday. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The price of the drinks at the bar was very reasonable. The menu in the restaurant was basic but we all found something that we liked and the meals were well cooked and very... More
