stayed here couple of weeks ago, nice friendly hotel staff very pleasant especially the cheeky chappie in the restaurant Leon, always ready with a quip and a smile. Food was excellent could not fault it. Entertainment was very very good, We travelled with Shearings and it was an all round good break away.

We paid a little extra for a sea view room in this hotel which is on the East Promenade in Morecambe. Its a Shearings Hotel and there are coach parties or you can come on your own as we did. My partner is disabled (not wheelchair but balance problems) and I am coeliac (gluten intolerance) so this and with the... More

We stayed at the Strathmore for a weekend break. The Hotel is on the Eastern end of the Promenade and has fabulous views, across Morecambe Bay, of The Lake District. It is ideally situated for trips into Lancaster, Heysham, Carnforth and the Lake District and is just a few minutes walk from the shops and markets of Morecambe. There is... More

Outside, Strathmore Hotel impressive, reception tiny, lift minute, says 5 people only, 3 average-size people a squeeze, used once just for the thrill of a 1940's experience! Paid extra £28 per person for a sea view, ROOM 111 gives a view of the large plastic pyramid over the entrance, what a con, only a partial sea view but not a... More

My wife and and I and two friends spent a weekend break there in February. Our room (102) was clean and well maintained. The food at dinner and breakfast was more than adequate and was well presented. Although Morecambe itself is nothing to write home about, the hotel is well situated for trips into teh Lake District.
