Another wonderful stay at this family run hotel. The owners and other guests even helped us celebrate my Great Aunt's 82nd birthday! As usual, the hotel was immaculately clean, well decorated, warm and friendly. We still maintain that we would go back just for the breakfast and the fantastic family running the place. Our last review was very detailed, the... more

What a gem! Booked a night for us and daughter graduating from Lancaster Uni and read the other reviews with interest. What a super stay! The rooms were the cleanest and sinks the whitest I have seen for a long time! The owners are welcoming and charming and our daughter had a twin room whilst we slept on the top... more

Myself and 4 friends stayed here for 2 nights in Dec 2007.The Hotel was spotless and the Staff who are mostly family members were absolutely superb. Being mid winter the usual maintenance and refurbishments were under way but they did not at all spoil the enjoyment of the stay. The rooms were clean, warm and very comfortable. Its quiet location even... more

The hotel was immaculately clean. The bedroom though small was comfortable. Tv and coffee making facilities in the room. Good shower. Breakfast was excellent, special dietary requirements were catered for. The owners are very friendly and helpful. more

Overall the hotel was fine, very much like any bed and breakfast (because that was really all it was) in a Northern, rundown ,seaside resort. Staff pretty helpful and O.K, BUT, don't expect to get much sleep or watch television. Lack of sleep was due to it being very noisy from the bar downstairs and nightlife collapsing out of nearby pubs... more

We stayed for 2 nights and found the rooms to be very clean and tastefully decorated. The en suite was very clean and we had running hot water whatever time of the day or night we showered. The owners were very pleasant and gave us lots of useful information about the surrounding area. The children enjoyed playing a game of... more

I play for the Lancashire Darts team and was booked in with my wife at the Glenthorne on 3rd December 2005. We turned up at the hotel on the Saturday morning and found it to be locked, so we phoned and left a message on an answerphone to say that we had arrived and could someone give us a ring... more
